Im inclined to agree but I would be willing to reserve judgement as he is new.

Unfortunately he has brought that judgement forward about 6 months with his camps mouthing off to the press.

If you want to talk publicly about how good you are and how you deserve a place then you better fucking show it when you are given the chance - he hasnt.
Agreed but pace is the common denominator for any winger and he doesn't have it. Fair? I have seen him open up and he is one paced. Lennon, hazard, Townsend, bale, Walcott etc they all have serious pace it gives them the edge...

I'm not angry with Chadli. He's just bang average really. Sig seems to get slated but everyone inexplicably thinks Chadli has plenty to offer. Based on what I don't know.

He also doesn't put in a defensive shift like some seem to think. In fact he regularly lets runners go from midfield.

Oh and please don't mention VDV and Chadli again in the same sentence...

Chadli is actually pretty quick. It's just a shame he never actually decides to move quickly.

Do you not find it fucking irksome when someone who is so bang average goes to the press to make demands to play because he wants to go to the WC for his own selfish reasons?

I would if the player did. It's just standard fair though with agents unfortunately.

I thought he played well and gives us a good shape when we att with 433.....

We should be starting 433, so much more balance.

people accept he has to adjust and settle and then slate him cos he's not as good as he should be. It's a contradiction. He'll get there - chill.

Don't rate him.

Think he could be a decent PL player though if he kept it simple, looked forward and used his pace.

My problem is that so far all he does is keep it simple, and lay the ball off to a team-mate infield when he is wide. I want to see him take some responsibility, try to make something happen himself.

said it yesterday. He deserves a run of games before his complete competency is judged.

Pathetic really as if Lamela would have been on the pitch yesterday and had that performance (much like he did vs Southampton) everyone would be on here saying how he needs a run of games to get into it and how can we judge him after so few consecutive starts etc....

Does chadli get the same courtesy? Nope.

Could be worse, could be Bentaleb, being picked, playing well, and being told he doesnt deserve his run of games

He looks like a very capable athletic midfelder who can play left and probably right side. We know he can score goals and takes a good free kick (well against us he did in the Europa).

He's a squad player who can fufil a role especially in a 5 man midfield and I'd probably prefer to see him playing in that type of role than Siggy, even if Siggy carries more goal threat.

He's not ever going to be a world class player but the fact he plays in a good Belgian side suggests that he is a good player to have in the squad and the team.

Well that's my view anyway!
