Apologises for the lateness of the thread. Crap day at work and haven't even looked at a working computer until now. Anyway enough of that on with the thread.

The Official Site Team News:

Luka Modric has started running again after injury but remains out of the running for Thursday night's UEFA Cup Group D match against NEC Nijmegen in Holland.

The midfielder is on his way back after suffering a groin strain at Fulham on November 15 but is not yet ready for a return to action.

Giovani remains out with his ankle sprain while Alan Hutton faces a spell on the sidelines with a foot injury.

Ledley King has not travelled to Holland and Gilberto also misses out after sustaining a minor hamstring tear during Monday's reserve team encounter against Stoke.

Roman Pavlyuchenko and Vedran Corluka are cup-tied and boss Harry Redknapp has included five youngsters in the squad in John Bostock - who played in our last group match against Dinamo Zagreb - Ryan Mason, Adam Smith, Jonathan Obika and Yaser Kasim.

"The younger lads are here, they are involved and I'll have a close look at them in training," said Harry.

"Some of them are new to me as my concentration has been on the first team squad but I watched the Under-18s play Coventry after we had trained on Saturday."

Skysports.com Preview:

Tottenham Hotspur aim to take a giant stride towards the knockout phase of the Uefa Cup with victory over NEC Nijmegen.

The Carling Cup holders started their Group D campaign with a 2-0 defeat at Udinese, which proved to be Juande Ramos' last game as manager.

His replacement Harry Redknapp has rejuvenated the Spurs team and masterminded a 4-0 victory over Dinamo Zagreb in their previous European fixture.

Victory in Holland on Thursday night should guarantee progression as only once since the creation of the Uefa Cup group phase has a team with six points not made it through.

Campbell start

Redknapp will make at least three changes to his team from the one which started last Sunday's 1-0 win over Blackburn Rovers in the Premier League.

Roman Pavlyuchenko, who grabbed the winner against Blackburn, is cup-tied, so Fraizer Campbell will come into the starting line-up.

Chris Gunter could be given the chance to start at right-back as Vedran Corluka is cup-tied and Alan Hutton is out for up to five months after undergoing surgery on a fractured foot.

Spurs skipper Ledley King has also not travelled with the squad to Holland, so Michael Dawson is set to partner Jonathan Woodgate at centre-half.

Redknapp has also included youth-team players John Bostock, who was a substitute against Dinamo, Ryan Mason, Adam Smith, Jonathan Obika and Yaser Kasim in his squad.

NEC can ill-afford another defeat after conceding twice in the final 10 minutes to lose 3-2 to Dinamo in Zagreb last month in their opening match.

Former Fulham striker Collins John will be hoping to start, while Rachid Bouaouzan, who is on loan from Wigan, will also be looking to feature.

BBC Match Squads (take with a pinch of salt):

Tottenham Squad (from): omes, Cesar, Bale, Gunter, Dawson, Assou-Ekotto, Woodgate, Zokora, Bentley, Huddlestone, Jenas, Gilberto, O'Hara, Bostock, Smith, Kasim, Obika, Mason, Lennon, Bent, Campbell.

Every chance of seeing some of the youngsters tonight, lets have Mason scoring the wnner in the 85th minute.

Happy with that team, would have preferred Lennon to start but at least he'll be fresh come Sunday.

Bostock, Smith, Obika and Mason, young bench would be interesting to see if any of them get any minutes.

cant see us bringing on the youngsters if we arnt already in a good possition.

Unless they realy are good enough (but then why havent we seen more of them?) then im sure Harry will stick more with the first team players.

Hmmm - four of our Academy gems on the bench in Bostock, RB Adam Smith, ACM Ryan Mason, and striker Jon Obika.

Mason is meant to be very classy but still a bit lightweight. Interesting that he's got ahead of Parrett & Townsend (who was at the pre-season training camp) in the pecking order.

wow! Eek

We're really stretched to make the 18 man squad for this game.

An injury to any of Gunter, Woody or Dawson and Harry will have some major juggling to do of personel!

We still have a good starting 11 though and if we get the first goal, and stand strong to any spells of pressure they are likely to get, we can still comfortably win this game.

I'm going to go with a 2-1 win to Spurs (it'll be 2-0 if Gomes doesn't make any errors)
