Which is what makes me think the Navy/Purple one is genuine

All about checking those small details ;)

Or the source. The navy purple one comes from a website that clearly stated they had invented it as a mock up of what a shirt could look like with that logo. it's not genuine (unless it's a really lucky guess :))

Same as last season and the season before, so factoring in inflation it’s getting cheaper. There’s actually no need for mere mortals who wear colours buy the vapor kits anyway.
My white vapor knit aged much better then the replica kit.

Imagine how good the first Nike kit, the one on Sonny in my av, would look with a navy AIA. I know it's impossible, but what I would give for that kit every single year.

Wouldn't be £60 (or how ever much it costs) each year.

I've always found it interesting that with mid range-to-luxury brands like Ralph Lauren, Armani and Tommy Hilfiger, the bigger the logo is the cheaper that range of clothing is going to be. And the names are always fucking so purposefully confusing. There's Polo Ralph Lauren and then there's the cheapo Ralph Lauren Polo. Then there's the Ralph Lauren polo shirt. There's Tommy Hilfiger and Hilfiger and Tommy.

I don't know where I'm going with this and I just deleted another three paragraphs of stray observations but I've committed myself now so fuck me if I won't post.

The easiest way to think of branding is like in app ads. With the cheapest version the ads/branding is unavoidable. It's big and in your face. However once you spend enough this then becomes alot less noticeable or in some cases removed altogether.

Best kit we've had since 11/12 imo, maybe 10-11. Only thing that makes it worse than those is the sponsor's logo but other than that it's gorgeous.

When I saw the new Chelsea kit I did wonder if would have the veil depicted on ours, like a grey checkerboard. This is a bit OTT but a design similar to our 09-10 kit without the yellow.

The rumor is that they are doing something like that with the 3rd shirt.

Tottenham's 2019-2020 third kit will boast an all-over graphic print that draws inspiration by the exterior design of the new stadium as well as incorporating the club's famous nick 'Spurs'. It can be seen on a glove that will be released as part of the accompanying collection in September 2019.

Much nicer item of clothing. Fit, texture, quality.

Ralph polos with the big badge are quite a bit more than the plain ones with small badges.

This is why I was cross when the first lot of Nike shirts came out. With Under Armour, you used to get all those things (plus a bit of unique design) from the c.£50 "mere mortals" shirt (e.g.my "sash season" purple third shirt is a thing of beauty). Now you have to pay £90 unless you want to wear a shit quality tent that's, barring colour scheme, exactly the same as those racist pricks over the way.

In summary, Nike are ****s.

But they pay us a shed load more.
Have to say, other than the fit, the quality of the Vapour shirt is better than any of the Under Armour shirts I ever bought. I believe UA also did player shirts too.

Does anyone have a theory on why we always reveal our kits so late, compared to other teams? It's every season, so there must be a logical reason behind it? The last time we revealed a kit before the end of the season, that I can remember, was when we played our final game in next seasons Puma kit with the hooped socks, back in the Berba days... And more recently I think, the seatbelt kit from under armour, when Rose had red hair. Other than those two, I can't think of any other time we've unveiled our kit early. Teams like Liverpool seem to have theirs out before the seasons up, Bournemouth wore their new one against us at the weekend, Chelsea's revealed, United's with a pretty genuine leak, Leicester just revealed theirs, yet we wait almost every year till the very last. Just wondered why that was?

Appears the purple leak could've just been our training kits, which have been revealed

I’d say it’s to do with the amount of stock left of this years shirt. As soon as a new kit comes out, the value of this years crashes.

Fair point, but that would apply to every team, or do you think this is just a Levy businessman approach? Saying that, you'd think we'd have sleeve sponsors (not that I want them) if he was that keen to squeeze as much extra rev as poss?

Sadly the likes of Liverpool, United and Chelsea sell more kits than us. Could be why we see there’s sooner. I’m very surprised we don’t have sleeve sponsors yet.
