People that are crying about red is ridicolous. Perhaps you haven't seen this?

Not directly but I have to dabble.

If something is big and brash and doesn't fit in order to stand out it's typically positioned wrong - appearing desperate/ill-mannered/annoying. Some people will lap it up of course - others turn away and just get on with things that matter.
I'm sure it will annoy the Hackney Hipsters with their quirky glasses and Macbooks but in Asia (especially China) were AIA operates, red symbolises fortune and happiness so it would be particularly eye-catching for AIA's potential customers.

I probably won't buy it, but it will certainly make my eyes hurt less than this year's while watching the team. I won't even begin to deny bias in my initial reaction to this shirt in the context of how utter tripe this year's was. So thankful there's one less game of seeing us play in that one.

Whhhhhhyyyyy is AIA allowed to be white on the GK top but has to be bloody red on the first kit???

Would of been great if it was navy blue...
While I like the shirt is does baffle me greatly that we just cant get a plain white home shirt, even with a blue trim on the neck and shirt sleaves and I would say 90% of fns would be over the moon.

Because they need to vary it so they sell shirts. If they just had basically the same kit every year sales would plummet. Generally, but not exclusivley, over the last 12 years we've gone one year fairly plain and classical, the following year a bit more of a departure.....and the pattern has repeated.

Now that the home kit is out, any mockups/leaks of the aways and the third kits?

Also, has there been any releases of the training gear and track jackets?

They could make some really nice gear with the silver lining they used on the home kit if they choose to.

Anyway, wrt to the new kit, its not bad, but i still dont really like it. Its alot better than this years, though. If they marked it down to like £20, i'd go for it, though. Whereas, im not touching this years home kits with a 10 foot pole, even though its £15.

The new kits are probably marked up £5 higher to make up for the evidently low sales on this year's kits. And the club probably released it early and is wearing it now to get more sales this season and to help get a boost in sales for the last month and half of the accounting year.

We're getting closer at least. Get rid of that blue streak across the front and we're there.

have totally ignored this thread, as usually the kit comes under a new thread. for some weird reason I have slept big time and just woke up due to a call from my daughter who is in a Spurs shop looking at it, and having a go at me for not telling her :woot:

I don't understand the love of a plain white kit, our colours are blue and white. The plainer kits we've had are the ones ice least liked in recent years. I like this years kit actually, unfortunate about the red but for the amount these companies pay they'd want their actual brand design regardless of how Inkeeping with the clubs traditions.

They literally could not give me one of this year's homes. Practically, it stands to reason I should take it and sell it for at least a couple beers or a decent fast food hamburger, but I would feel too guilty taking someone's money for such a heinous product.

I hope you're right about your last bit, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's a continued trend of clubs raising the prices of kits.

£55 Poorer, but looking forward to getting it. Looks really cool I think. Quite retro, and diverts the eye slightly from the AIA.

Shame it will be too tight round my beer belly though, but that's my fault...Can't blame that one on Levy

Looking at the really nice sleeve ends and the collar I can't help but think the kit would be nothing short of beautiful if it had something more minimal than that sash.

Don't think it's a good idea to use those shirts against Hull this weekend. Those stripes will throw Livermore into a coma.
