Does anyone else think the first dark blue/black bit at the top of the shirt looks like a boob-tube!?

That's the part I hate, had it been like the other stripes I would have really liked it.

It's the fault of the person who came up with the "heritage sash" theme this year.

Probably the same dipshit that went all "echo of glory" last year.

I don't mind it. The colours are nice, but I'd obviously prefer it if they had picked one of them. That said, though, I won't buy it.

This is the problem with a "plain" shirt... The focus is then on the HUGE red letters in the middle. I don't mind he sash tbh

I agree, but there are quite a lot of people who want a plain shirt, even if it means every kit is the same old (like everton)

I think it would look better if it didn't have the the arm cuffs not really matching with the band of the collar. If you made those white, it might look better. Would also put the UA symbol back on to balance out the badge, otherwise he's right that it really does put emphasis on the sponsor.

The problem is that is what it's designed to do, which makes it weirder that they don't do it. If that makes sense?

Oh yeah on that I completely agree. Haha I can imagine some AIA CEO being handed the design for the shirt and thinking "wtf is this skidmark, it takes away from my brand symbol!" Even so, the club and the kit makers make their money from selling shirts, not showing off the sponsor. So if the sponsor agrees that they're content with the display of their brand, then the kit makers will want to try to blend it in/obscure it as much as possible to improve sales.

They just did an abhorrent job of that this season. Thank fuck we'll never have to see our lads in this year's home strip again.

Okay, I guess I'll be the one to debunk this....

Look who tweeted it: eSpurs Thailand. Thailand being the operative word.

What is big in Thailand? Making cheap knockoffs of jerseys and getting them out early, alot of times before the club announces them and base the shirt design off leaks that may or may not actually be the jersey. Unless it is the shop contracted with UnderArmour and Spurs to make the shirt, in which case, they probably wouldnt have the shirt available to purchase yet.

With that it mind, ask yourselves, why would the club give one of the new shirts to some random dude in the streets of Bangkok before announcing it? Answer: They wouldn't. This guy probably either brought the shirt from one of the random shops making the cheap knockoffs or probably runs one of those shops.

So what does this picture tell us? Nothing. We are still in the same place as before. This shirt either is or isnt the away or 3rd shirt. While it probably is, there is still the possibility that it is a rejected design.

Unless, of course, the person wearing it is someone affiliated with the club and i dont recognize him

This all makes sense and I'm not saying you're wrong, but remember the chick who was wearing the cycling jersey clearly modeled on the kit last year. Somehow, she had seen the kit well before anyone else had, and she made a replica of it.

I think it has to do with the new sponsor. Every club undoubtedly has to show the kit designs to their primary shirt sponsors before they're released to confirm satisfaction with how their brand is displayed. I think we're showing them to a few guys in Asia, and I think they're being leaked from there. So even if this shirt is a replica, I think it's made on the real one. Unfortunately.

Well that picture isn't the only picture of said Blue and black shirt. And after last season I will be amazed if this isn't genuine.
But I quite like it. So I'm not in denial.
That's not to say I don't love a clean design. The Erik Edman/Pedeo Mendes kit is still my favourite to this day. (Also featuring a red sponsor) and that kit is the plainest of the plain.

That's one heavy debunk!

@yankspurs Keep in mind that this season's official shirts were made in Phillippines and the 12/13 kits were made in Vietnam. I'm not sure about last year but I'm just going by the labels I have here. Production is outsourced to Southern Asia so it's a high possibility that workers have been a bit mischievous by leaking photos :)

You seem to have a habit of not believing things when they are almost certainly true.
