The back of the shirt, collar, cuffs and spurs and UA badges look lovely.

Shorts are mint.

Socks are nice, especially the silver + navy hoop and under heel web.

Guess the glaring omission from that praise .... the stripes, but they actually warmed already from first official view.

Overall 7 / 10, but holistic look is good on the players - maybe an 8 == progress

The fix for 10, best ever:
Same shorts, same socks
Same styling, collar, cuff and club/UA badges
But plain front (like the back)
Navy and silver bar (like the sock hoop) going down the shirt sides (from underarm)
A colour fitting sponsor (the gk kit is a white AIA, proving the bastards will change for that)

Hugo's GK should beforest green + gold, not the white. Or green + red to make him a stubbly elf.

Lol I love it.

Reminds me of the spurs kit I made on sensible soccer when I was like 5. I had to add a strip along the front just to show we are a little more awesome this season

So the "leaked" picture was fake but actually very close to the real deal.

To be honest I don't really pay a lot of attention to Derby County. Just off the top of my head that was the closest kit I could think of that reminded me of our 2005-6 kit, which, like this River Plate homage, didn't really look like a Spurs kit.

Would people be happy if this change was permanent, or is it more a case of liking it being a bit different?

I wouldn't mind it being a permanent change, like I wouldn't have minded keeping the blue sleeves too. It's nice to mix it up every now and again though. If we had just a plain white shirt each year, with more or less trim it'd get a bit boring.

Can't live with the AIA logo. I won't be buying a kit till they do something about that.

I like it but am already anticipating the "Spurs run over" headline and taunts from fans when we get a spanking next season.

I was going to say if but not feeling that optimistic

Can't really understand the uproar over the sash, remember, it could be a lot worse...

Which was infinitely worse than last years effort even.

I like it.

Solid look with clean lines and bold blue line cutting through the shirt.

That's a top four shirt if ever I saw one :woot:

Haven't bought a shirt in years but could be tempted by this...

That was the first home kit I didn't own in the best part of 20 years. The yellow stripes were horrific, the grey patchy detail above it was something indescribable...
