I think it's because it resembles that old Autoglass sponsored home shirt of theirs. Can't remember if that was in the 90's or slightly after though. For what it's worth I actually quite like that home shirt but it's easy for it to look quite nice without a sponsor too.

Nike's templates continuing to be absolutely unnecessary for a large majority of shirt designs.

They haven't confirmed their shirt sponsor yet for the new season. Any shirt without a massive sponsor logo in the middle is automatically going to look better. And apparently the shirt won't be available to fans until after the new season starts, by which point they might have sorted out their main shirt sponsor.

I was thinking the same, and then thought it's not too different to the minimal kits we've also had with Nike. I think it will look nice even when they have their sponsor really but our sponsor really does take away from achieving that real classic look.
