It does seem pretty disgusting that people will pay that amount of money when there are millions starving in this world.:(

I don't know why they just don't dispose of the hotel idea and put an extra block of resi units up. Firstly they couldn't attack even a budget hotel chain and then they said they were going to have it as a training hotel. They'd make so much more money changing to flats etc. I guess they could just make them PRS (private rented sector) units instead.

I suppose it depends on the best return they can get. I feel sure they if they tried for PRS units the Local Authority would insist on a percentage of affordable housing, thereby reducing that return. A hotel would bring a number of jobs and an ongoing return, maybe increasing in value with whatever level of inflation could be justified.

Hey ho, we'll all find out in the end!

And after all there would be the hard sell to the US NFL fans and players. "Come and base yourself in magnificent Tottenham, visit all the top sites of London whilst staying in the centre of sport and culture in London"

I'd always accept a free invite to watch Spurs play, but I still find the whole concept a bit creepy. Gawping at the players through glass as if they're animals on display in a zoo.

I'd watch a City-style tunnel cam though, but I've never denied being a hypocrite.

what's the difference?

Obviously for the über rich. The only way you can justify paying those ridiculous prices is to be absolutely minted. If it helps pay for the stadium, and people are happy to pay for it I see no harm.

But it's a shame they haven't (to my knowledge) allocated a few seats to competitions for junior members or the Hotspur Heroes (or whatever they are called).

They don't pay for it. Their companies do then class it as expenses and reduce their tax payments accordingly. So we pay for it.

Client entertainment is not deductible. Not at any level. Otherwise it would be really simple to declare zero profit as a small business!

Of course, Gawk Club and Cheese Club tickets would be expensed, but without an impact to the public tax take. There's complicated tax stuff behind the scenes to allow companies to refund entertainment - and offer sales incentives - without employees being hit with payroll reductions.

If i got that through work, I'd have to report it to my MD under the bribery act :ROFLMAO:
20k a year means it's definitely worth more than a hundred quid a match :ROFLMAO:

The pitch dimensions will be 105m x 68m which are in line with the standard specifications as set by UEFA and FIFA.

In comparison, the current pitch dimensions at White Hart Lane are 100.1m x 67m.

Thx. How does our new pitch compare to city and arsenal?
