Tottenham Hotspur’s new stadium is expected to be the most technologically advanced of its kind, utilising the most innovative technology to ensure flexibility for future demands and development requirements of the space.

Mark Braund, CEO of RedstoneConnect, commented: “We are proud to have been selected as the vendor of choice to install a digital cabling network in what will be among the most technologically advanced stadia in the world. RedstoneConnect is the recognised leader in this field, creating and delivering end-to-end IT infrastructure solutions for many types of commercial spaces including entertainment venues. We are thrilled to be partnering with Tottenham Hotspur in this iconic and groundbreaking project.”

Great to see the club associated with the very latest technology and things progressing well. I cannot wait to walk into the new stadium....exciting times both on and off the pitch.

Speaking of technology, someone on SSC was speculating yesterday - idly, I think, more like informed guesswork - that Intel may be in the mix to be our new stadium sponsor. SSC is down at the mo, so can't link, but apparently Intel have been moving into sports marketing big time recently, with a growing footprint in the NFL, among other sports.

So, the thinking goes, you've got Spurs pushing the idea of a hi-tech stadium, which would tie in nicely with Intel. Then you've got Intel's new NFL involvement. Add in the fact it's a US company, where we seem to be pushing ourselves as a brand, and a very rich and well-respected company at that, perhaps looking for an in to the European big leagues etc., and it does all kinda tie in with Spurs. I can certainly can see synergy there.

To boot, "Intel Arena" wouldn't be the worst name in the world. Oh, and there's their blue logo too (!).

Anyway, can't vouch for any of this, but that was this guy's theory.

Anything with 'Arena' in the name makes it sound like Westlife will be playing there.

Was going to post about it too. I thought it would be a very good association for the club to have, personally.

Intel fits in with the eSports rumours as well.

It was pure speculation, not even a rumour.

We'll probably show concerts as well at the new stadium, doesn't mean take that will sponsor the stadium.

I would be perfectly fine with Intel as the Arena Sponsor.

Heck, I'd be fine with Take That if it meant we could somehow dupe Robbie Williams into playing Chirpy

I presume the 'Away warm up room' will be closed and locked during Prem matches and just used for NFL!

Can't be giving the opposition things like that.

Taken from the Popbitch mail today... (probably read with a big pinch of salt)

Tottenham Hotspur players arrive back for training on Monday, ready for their new season at Wembley.
Behind the scenes huge amounts of work have been done on the new White Hart Lane ground, but there's already some fear it won't be ready in time for the 2018 season.
Spurs execs have already brought this up with Premier League bosses. If it's not up and running by next August (and it's looking tight) then the league can schedule the club to play away games only. To a maximum of 7 games.
Beyond that? Who knows...
