I'm sure you were at tenterhooks to find out, but I am no longer concerned about the roof.

Not really liking how the roof is coming together, I'm not quite sure how to put it in words... Look's a bit thin and unimpressive if that's basically how it will look with glass/cassette(?) (I know a very thin membrane then goes over the top, not aware of anything else substantial though). I was hoping for something more akin to the new Atletico stadium which I think looks really good.

Not sure what you mean by thin ? I’m sure there’s s standard regulation for roof cassettes which they meet. From the renders I did think the roof may look a bit bland from aerial view but I’m actually pleasantly surprised. Although I did think they could have shaded the cassettes to match the veil but it may have looked a bit fussy.

I just don't think it looks overly impressive. I have no doubt it will look smart, but for me it's all a bit flat and uniform. As I say I was hoping/thinking for something more like the Atletico stadium (as I kept seeing comparisons to it and how the roofs were constructed) where the roof slopes down and then you have that chunky inner ring to the roof that catches the eye.

They will be putting a cover on so you won't be able to see the cassettes. It will look like the render.

Erm, actually the grey that you see on top of the cassettes is the single ply membrane, this is the waterproof layer and is the outer skin.

I think the Athletico roof looks like a festival tent. I’ll take a boring flat roof over a fuckin teepee.

I’m still really confused as to how they are going to have an NFL pitch without tram lines running down it? Does the football pitch come out on tram lines or does it float out like a hover board (I know this is not true)

This was done to death a few pages back. The rails are permanent.

I get that. But as the pitch comes in three bits above the NFL pitch. At least 2 sets of rails will run down two thirds of the NFL pitch

They are covered in astroturf for the nfl games.
