just ask to rearrange game 4, they move games all the time due to cup matches etc, as long as the other team are good with it, easier then setting up Wembley for a single match

Saturday matchdays are 18/19

1-11th aug
2-18th
3-25th
4- 1st sept
Break
5-15th

So it’s only 2 games that might require changing. Admin wise it’s not that many.

What I suspect might be a problem from the club’s perspective is the difficulty in starting the season with 4 away games. Maybe we want a home game in there for the home advantage to make it better for us. Playing 4 games away from home off the bat might not be ideal if we have a bad start.

Anyone see this on SSC? Could be nothing but wouldn't be all that surprising if true

I suppose it'll be nice for the Liverpool fans to see a real Kop.

I’m sure when the old cop was all standing it held 28,000!

Was quite a sight and a sound back in the day (for all the old gits like me)

Remember being there in the late 70's when we lost 7-0

Not ideal, but can see the sense in Poch not wanting to play four games away in a row at the start of the season.

At least we have dates now, and people can stop fretting about whether it will be ready or not.

Just heard a rumour the Liverpool game will be switched to Wembley.

It’s only a matter of time before someone says it...

Meanwhile the Sun have just reported that Pochettino’s first game of the season will be at the Bernabeu. Just can’t let it go...

So really we are on time as we all thought the first game would be after international weekend with first home game played away. It’s only Poch who wants the Wembley game.

Now dates have been confirmed for 'test events', does anyone know what kind of tests these will be? As in, are they events where 60k people will be able to watch some form of event and the club and stadium staff will act like a normal event, or is it just purely operational events to test the pitch rotation, all electrics, all bars, food outlets, etc where only limited 'fans' may be able to access and make use of the stadium?

I assume people will be invited to attend but nothing like full capacity. Maybe they show an away game on the big screens. Harking back to the day when they showed all away games live at WHL on the jumbos!

As a comparison - for the Emirates the 1st test was a shareholder open day. 2nd was an open training session for 30k. And the third was Bergkamp's testimonial at full capacity. I imagine ours will be similar.

This is probably pretty spot on for 3 of the 4. I suspect the 4th event might be in concert mode with a reduced capacity, maybe 30k or something, as they'll need safety approval for that as well.
