Pretty tacky, IMO. Takes away from the field.
I'm inclined to agree, over-the-top and unnecessary. There are waaaay too many mobile/ipad screens being held up at games as it is. We have 4 jumbo monitors. That's more than enough. This isn't American football. We don't need to be entertained every second.

Not at all. (IMO of course!) It's more subtle. And it serves an obvious purpose... to watch replays etc.
But all they’ve done is fill the corners ( that normally have big screens in them anyway ) and the gaps behind the stands.

Although I can imagine that being incredibly expensive to do.

It's not just the corners though is it. It essentially wraps around the whole stadium. And the corners our monitors will be in are less obnoxious. But, that's just my taste. I'm sure most people will like it. But like you say, it'll probably cost a fortune.

I'll disagree, based solely upon that video. You could tell that what was being shown was REALLY building the supporters up.

It could be an awesome tool for massive games, Champions League nights etc.

Prior to a game there could be a rousing montage of Kane goals, Eriksen class, Bale's historic night in Milan, the win over Madrid etc etc. Then as soon as that has finished, on comes whatever music we'll come out to in our new stadium, and COYS projected round the entirety of the stadium.

I honestly think it would/could really get the crowd going & I'd assume the players would also be able to hear/feel that atmosphere building, which could help to pump them up at the same time.

And obviously the same could happen with things like concerts and boxing, too.

Onions.

I agree about things being held up, But it wouldn't be used in games for anything other than the replays etc that were shown at WHL. Only before the game/events, then at half-time/intervals & again at the end.

I think the whole stadium is a bit OTT tbh. Reckon it would be very distracting. But just at north end I think would be cool. I guess the option is always there we have the ideal space for it. In the grand scheme of things I doubt it costs that much. But they must have been aware of it, and obviously decided against it. I think if someone in a major league does it and it has a lot of exposure the rest will follow.

Actually I think you can email Donna Cullen and mace and they both reply. Might give it a go and would be interested to know if they considered it or will in future.

It’s actually insane we need to get a petition to get it installed ?

I simply can't look/listen beyond the crowds reactions. It unquestionably has their attention and they bloody love it.

I know we're not having it but I can really imagine it on a dark CL evening under the lights. I think it would be spectacular.

How do you know we couldn’t have it ? Obviously not right now but within 5 years maybe. As said we have perfect space for it at one end or both. I have no idea but I’d guess it could be done in close season over 3 months. Surely also it would make it a much more attractive venue for other events. Imagine AJ walking in for a fight with those screens. It actually now makes ours(screens)look really shit ? weird thing is is Krasnodar stadium in Russia but not being used for World Cup. And the whole stadium cost $310 so I doubt it’s hugely expensive.
