Yep. True. ( admittedly naive and nigh impossible to conceive but I would call it Whl!)
The reason I say 2.0 is because in the future fans will probably ask what is WHL 1.0? this way we can preserve the memories and pass on old white hart lane to future generations. Maybe that's just me, thinking outside the box or just thinking too much in general which I seem to do.

Or maybe I am just a ridiculous nerd!

Have a butchers at this thread re the safety systems etc

I just had this backed up by my elec/light mate at the stadium, areas are starting to look done althou when u walk around the corner there are hundreds of cables waiting on the floor to be pulled in.. his view although not an authority is march time, however its difficult to tell what other firms have left to do, but if this is the case its highly unlikely we goona open Jan

I feel so left out as everyone but me seem to have a mate working at the stadium! :(

Friend in construction had a tour this week. Also knew building control at Haringey. In his words “next season”.

Sometimes you have to put extremes of numbers into a proposition to see how it holds up.
If we were to play 1000 more games at Wembley, according to MP's version of reality, that is 1000 days nearer to us playing at NWHL and is a good thing. After all we all want to be nearer to be playing in the new ground.
Better still make that 1 million games at Wembley and we'd be nearer still.

His reasoning is absurd, which was my point, but seems to have taken in a lot of posters going by my ratings and in particular you coopsie who had to make up your own special dick rating to add to the dogpile. This was a little unnecessary really. But I'll live. :)
It isn't the reasoning that is important, it's the attitude behind it. It's the difference between decades of being 'Spursy' and having a winning mentality.

Does beg the question, if it's nowhere near ready why give tours now? Why not wait until it's further along? Especially if they are saying that it will be ready soon why give a tour that shows we are not?

If the fire alarms etc are not working how were they able to use the kitchens for the shindig last night. It looks like a full blown dinner for Levy & co.

Somebody was saying that there are fire marshalls on site every day, so I would imagine it's a similar sort of deal.

I have no idea about construction and the possible issues with the fire systems, but I just don’t get how some people are so adamant it’s next season and yet the club seem to think it’s only a matter of time. I just don’t understand why they would speed up some areas so it’s completed if there is absolutely no chance it’s ready this season?

Guys ive just got to say how stunning our NWHL is looking. Go check it out on the live cams it is worth it.

I for one will remain patient because this place will be so very worth it. It will be the envy of all and it is all ours!!! So excited to get back home.

This is kind of where I am with it. Don't know why else you'd parade Levy/Poch/players around unless you were gonna be in there this season.

If your friend's judgment came directly from Building Control, then it's worth considering seriously, because they have some leverage - although I suspect the Fire Brigade is a more demanding taskmaster when it comes to approving alarm installations.

Building Control was semi-privatised by the coalition government. There are numerous private firms who are qualified to provide Building Control certification, as well as the local authority (see also: Grenfell). Is your friend clear that Haringey Council's Building Control department is responsible for signing off the stadium, as opposed to a private consultancy?

It's a bit different having a few people over for dinner, as opposed to manoeuvring 62,000 out of the place in an emergency. And I think they have fire marshals on site for when people visit.

I hope that you're right, but it makes sense to press on with completion when you have labour on site rather than to stop all work until the 'critical safety' work is completed and then have to get workers back at a later date.

You'd think so, but I had 62,000 for dinner recently and it wasn't a problem when one of the 15,000 chickens caught fire.
