It's true, but that whole tunnel is a brilliant bit of psychology. The narrowness, the claustrophobia, and then bam, you're out into "You'll Never Walk Alone".
You are correct, it's big for disabled users.
How do the disabled get up there. I know there is the skywalk for able bodied which is a staircase. I didn’t notice a ramp next to it and would be a bit of a job pushing someone up. I guess there must be a lift up to the roof.
I like what Schalke have done with their tunnelYou'd think the clubs could do a bit more with the tunnels. An arch? Statues? Some sort of decoration?
There seems to be minimum effort these days in most modern buildings.
