I'd love to leave my wife, kids and job and never miss a game. :ninja:

I don't live too far away (Oxford) but my wife and I both work shifts and got young kids (too young to take with me). Realistically I could go 5-6 times a year but my pesky wife wants to spend time together if we get the same day off. I used to go about that much but then life happened. Also, if I get a free saturday I also like to go watch some rugby, cricket, horse racing, take the kids swimming ... So reality is I get to 1-2 games a year, but I never take selfies and I sing my little heart out.. so there!

Am I as big a fan as some of you? ... nope, but I'm fine with that. If someone isn't, that says more about them than it does me.

The stadium looks amazing from the inside but am I the only one who doesn't like the cladding on the outside?

You better get used to it, its there for a long time. Once the rest of the area is eventually built up the whole thing will look amazing.

The cladding is one of my favourite parts of the stadium, makes it look unique IMO. Can't wait to see it all lit up with the LED lighting.

Ugh, once again, your personal circumstances clearly don't allow you to go more, regardless of where the game is played.

Okay, I'll be more specific. By tourists I mean the people who never showed up until the last couple of seasons, at all, the people who stand at the top of the steps outside Wembley Park station causing dangerous congestion so that they can take photo's of the lit up Wembley arches, the little chavs who show up with their girlfriends and spend the whole time talking to them rather than watching the match, the dickheads who are never in their seat by kick off or by the beginning of the second half, and are out of their seat before the half time whistle and the full time whistle, the loudmouths who you only ever see once, but the entire game they over compensate for the fact that they are not regulars by being extra loud when abusing the ref, criticising their own players, getting on the opposition's back, I'm talking about the fat drunks wench there with some bloke recently who starting screaming 'Glory Glory Spurs United'. I'm not talking about people like you, or @Dougal , or anybody else who isn't fortunate enough to have both the time and money available to be a dedicated far every game. I'm talking about the people who are going to a Spurs match just so that they can say they went to a Spurs match, but don't actually care about the club or the game, and who are happy to fill it up v Inter but couldn't care less v Southampton. Maybe tourist fan is the wrong term, but whatever those types are fans are called, I don't want them at my club and I can't wait till we're at the new ground and there are 30,000 fewer opportunities each match for them to get their mitts on a ticket. I want the people who care.

North London is a 200 mile round trip for me these days, so when I show up to a game which has been priced cheaply and see twice as many empty seats as I see people, yes, I feel a bit pissed off.

That's a bit unfair on your fellow Spurs fans.

i'm sure some of those fans who stand on the top of those steps are living a dream, maybe they've supported Spurs for years but this was one of the few opportunities they got to go to a game. I remember my first game at WHL when I was 10, the buzz the excitement. Who wouldn't want a picture to look back on. It's part of being proud to be a Spurs fan.

Those who turn up with their girlfriends, maybe it's a big thing for them, perhaps it's the first time they've taken their girlfriend to see Spurs live, she's possibly not into football and he is making an effort as he wants her to enjoy the experience and share his love of our great team.

Those who are extra loud and you find annoying, again maybe they don't get to many games and the excitement boils over, they want to make the most of the experience, perhaps after years of shouting at a TV and finally they can really express themselves.

i've no time for someone who screams glory glory spurs united.

So while i agree some fans can be annoying at times I think you're being a tad unfair on sitting in judgement.

Try looking at it from their perspective and you may get a bit of pleasure from knowing a fellow fan is having an amazing time supporting the team we do.

If our fan base only had the hardcore supporters who go home and away every game we wouldn't be supporting a team in the Premier league. They are just as much part of our club as you and I

I think the cladding looks a lot better than not having any cladding. Without it, to me it looks like a pretty boring glass office building apart from the South Stand trees

The cladding is great during the day BUT at night it looks shocking although i imagine that will look different once the LEDs are in etc but the light bleed from inside as of today just looks a tad messy and not really great.

The stadium as others have mentioned, needed the cladding

Ally gold reporting there’s rumours of a stadium announcement tomorrow.
Matches up with Stac1882's Twitter from a few days back, so fingers crossed it's the best possible news of test events arranged and pending their success opening for Man United (with fire marshalls in place).

Paul Miller seems to think any news will be towards the end of the week. It will have to be soon as they will need to start selling the tickets shortly. 5 weeks to go.

I personally would rather they hadn't just gone with grey for the panels, such a boring colour

Why? Ticket sales don't take long, at all. The game will sell out to members near-immediately and be instantly loaded on their access cards.

True but remember this is a base colour and will be affected by the lighting which will change the colour......at least that is what I am being told.

Probably best to wait until complete and then take a view.

How late can they leave it
Honestly I don't see why they couldn't do ticketing a few days before the game. The announcement would need to be before then but that's for other reasons. And I imagine the ticket sales will be left late a) so they can be tested at the test events and b) to delay the bad PR from the inevitable price increases.

The cool thing about the veil is you could completely replace it in 10–15 years if you wanted to over a summer. Which could give the stadium a totally different feel.

The away fans might want to know more than a few days before where the match is being played and how many tickets they have for it. Never going to happen like that.
