Really hope Levy takes Mace and\or whoever initially installed the safety systems to the cleaners for this debacle.

I appreciate these massive and complex construction projects are incredibly difficult to deliver, but I think that the club now needs to be more open and honest with fans as to the specific reason for the frequent delays and the planned schedule to address it.

So annoyed that we still dont have a date, not even for test events. I was at least hoping for some good news with the bad news.

I haven't been able to get to Wembley this season, partly because it's a pain in the arse and an absolute soul drain but also partly down to...no it's basically just that.

Was at the game last night and my word Wembley is even worse than I remember! A semi final against Chelsea, and people were far too busy eating pizza and sipping craft ale/gin to get up for the game.

I miss WHL

One plus side is that it looks like they are almost ready to put the panelling on the East side of the stadium. The framework is almost finished.

It would have been pretty embarrassing inviting the world's media to the opening given the state it was in four months ago. It was a total building site. At least now when everyone non-Spurs rocks up they will be properly blown away.

Whilst I dont need the money back to survive, I am more annoyed at the fact they took our money so quickly without batting an eye lid but returning our money through a drip feed process is arduous.

Surely they should have just given back our cash and then once an opening date is set they just let us pay per game as ST holders then for next season we pay for the entire season.

Just leaves a bad taste in my mouth... how they handled that element of the ticketing.

I dont mind waiting till next season however, id rather move into a 100% completed stadium than a 80% completed stadium.

I could not stomach Arsenal as our first game. Imagine the shit we would get if they won. We would NEVER hear the end of it. Not worth the Agg

We were expecting an announcement, we've basically been given 'nothing's changed' in the format of an announcement
They're not going to announce a date until they have the safety certificates signed-off. That was impossible over Christmas because everything shuts down. The update basically says Mace have told them they can proceed with the certification and arrange the test events. When that's done, we'll have a date.

To be fair, they are as clear as mud in their updates.

It actually does to me though. It's a big moment for our club, and a chance to change perceptions. You don't need to imagine hard to see the click-bait headlines in the tabloids if there was loads of unfinished stuff everywhere, given how they love trying to embarrass the club.

Most people in the football world haven't been following the build as closely as we all have, so we can really blow them away if it's right when we open.

The thought that it couldnt be a NLD as the opening fixture is laughable imo

There will still only be 3000 scum supporters. They will still come from exactly the same routes as they have done ever since they moved from Woolwich!! And after the game we can keep them in the ground for an hour or 2. Sorted

Also being the first game for all the scum supporters to visit the NWHL they will all want to come, meaning less numpties (not that they have many anyway)

Any trouble close to the ground is handbags these days...

A NLD would be a perfect and fitting opening fixture. Plus hopefully we'd absolutely smash em

The BBC suggests that police and safety groups would balk at having the NLD as the first game, which makes sense.

And although To Dare is indeed to Do, @danielneeds , there’s a bit too much of a dare in that for me! :D

Now I'm even more happier that we won yesterday, 'cause the atmosphere around the club, and on this forum, would have been full-on toxic today.
