Of course they have. It's a new stadium and they're riding high. They were always going to sell out the first year. And they've massively discounted loads of seats and season tickets.
In fact, only selling out this stadium only in March, 5 months before they use it, is crap and I'd be worried if I were them.

To plan for a bigger stadium on the back of this is complete craziness.

I've written in this thread a couple of times about the marketability. The Olympic Stadium will be the venue of choice for the plastic fans and also the football tourists. It will be the most accessible stadium in London, coupled with the proximity to Canary Wharf and the fact it's an Olympic venue. The most successful Olympics ever (if you believe the hype).

Offer even more cheap seats if they can increase the size and people will go. They will need to address the corporate side of things but I'm sure they'll see to that. The Premier League is we're told the most attractive league in the World at the moment and people will want to go to see games.

We can bury our heads in the sand but they have an amazing opportunity - if they do it right. And Mr Arab Investor - which club is rich for picking off? Gold and Sullivan may well be fans but they'll be out of there as soon as a proper offer comes in. And to honest - why wouldn't they?

Wet Spam have sold out. 54k. Looking for 60k with planning permission. Then 66k the year after.

Just goes to show. Build it, and they will come.

Source ?

If its Brady, Gold or Sullivan, what else do you expect them to say - they've been saying for months that they will (future tense) sell out,

And even if they are saying it, is it true ? Its an old sales line to say things are sold out before finding a few tickets when someone asks (and repeat 10,000 times to sell the last tickets as it was actually only 50% sold out initially)

But I wonder if they will sell low as a first year promotion of the tickets to get punters used to going there, maybe 50% off....before doubling the prices next year.

Maybe over sceptical but think we should be

Anyone can role up and get a ST. £99 for kids. I know people buying as they Are so cheap (not West Ham fans).

Let's see after next year and onwards in a rented athletics stadium.

And I assume any increase they will pay for ?

They're going to be a force. Been saying it for ages and they are ripe for the big investment. Very annoying

OS will still be a crap atmosphere. Half the crowd will be tourists and kids because it's so cheap. That and the crowd will be a javelin's throw from the action. They're welcome to it. We're building a proper football stadium, with the stands close to the pitch. And it'll be mostly Spurs fans.

Meh, I'd rather be a bigger club, have our own massive stadium, and have some of the best young players in world football.

Whilst I agree its a shit football stadium. You can't argue with cheap tickets, especially for kids. Theres too many old feckers at the lane because the tickets are so damn expensive

Makes you wonder if it's worth buying a West Ham season ticket and then selling them on stubhub (if they use it) for loads more and make some cash.

In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of tout companies have done this, hence the sell out.

No they haven't they sold 38k, my friend bought his two weeks ago and 5k have to be given free to local residents as well as 3k for away fans.

That's probably up to about the current limit I would have thought though. Remember we only currently have 25k ST holders. We do need room for members which bring in a stack of money also as well as casual fans and away - they will also have to take that into consideration.

Personally I hope it's a shit experience, but time will tell.

IIRC the 54K was set to keep the viewing distances for all seats within 190m from the further corner flag which is the recommended maximum viewing distance for football. Seats are being sold cheap @ £289 for a season ticket to the fill the 54k capacity so anything above this will need to be even cheaper.

This capacity increase sounds to me like spin in readiness to sell the club.

Cant argue with a seat cheaper than 280 quid for PL in London. And a decent side to boot.

I know ours is better stadium, but even the shit seats will be 800+
