So that's 20,000 supporters making noise in the lower tiers and 38,000 eating prawn sandwiches upstairs in all the posher bits
Cant wait! NOT

Went to the exhibition today, quite interesting and they seemed a lot more clued up and able to answer questions than the last one.
The capacity of 58,237 is not fixed in stone. It was reduced from 60k to enable the stands to be closer to the pitch than the death star and there was a fear that it would be even more perceived to therefore be a copy. I did ask for them to look again at having the stands 1.75 times further away from the pitch than they currently are and I also asked them to make the lower tier steeper to add to the atmosphere.
Cheers fella, great work!
One question you may be able to answer concerns the number of jumbrotrons in the new stadium? I seem to remember reading an interview with the chief stadium architect (think it was on the Tottenham website) that there would be 4 screens, one in each corner. I just wondered whether this was still the case?
Ah yeah, forgot about that bit f the conversation!
There will be two jumbotrons, in the north east corner and the south west corner. At 18 x 9 metres, they will be the largest jumbtrons in the world.
I think they are located there to ensure that everyone has a clear view of the pitch and so that everyone will be able to see everyone.
I don't quite understand what you mean. Did you ask them to move the seats further from the pitch?
It should be obvious from the pictures, but a couple of significant bits of our history will be lost in the project. Bill Nicholson way will cease to exist.
Great stuff, Matty P. It's good to have some proper insight into the progress of this, as the new stadium is undoubtedly the most important thing to happen to the club in years and will give us our most realistic chance of breaking into the top four.
The transport issue is something that they could already be improving. Trains should pretty much line up one after another at WHL and Northumberland Park stations after matches. The extension to the Victoria Line was always unlikely as this service would only be used to any degree on match days.
imagine them bragging rights - "so, WE had a station named after us!", "And? We had a whole line named after us!"In which case it needn't be integrated into the network, it could be a simple shuttle, the line is pretty much there with the sidings anyway.
As long as people could get on and off safely it should be perfectly possible.
How far are we away from the pitch at WHL compared to proposed New stadium?.
Will there be a statue of Bill Nic?
The cockerals will be to small if place on top of stadium wont they?
How big is our current jumbertrons compared to new ones?
Aren't our screens (or "jumbotron" as consumers may like to call them  ) pretty huge anyways? From what i'm told, and to be honest i've not actually noticed, our current screens are enormous compared to what is common around the country :shrug:Based on the information from Matty we are 1.75 times closer at WHL than the new stadium, because of regulations for new stadia.
They will be small, but still visable.
Not sure on the jumbotrons, although Matty said they will be the biggest in the world (think he means for football, because the one at the skydome was enormous)
