Labour MP for Tottenham David Lammy told the BBC: "I haven't heard anything official but if this is right I think it is obviously the right decision.
"Their (West Ham's) bid in the end was for all London - and Londoners will be paying for this until 2017. Spurs' bid was for just one club.
"I hope we can get back to the White Hart Lane development which got planning permission just three months ago, for a brand new stadium with a capacity up to 56,000."

If we've got 35,000 on the paid season ticket waiting list I'm not sure 56,000 is enough anymore, perhaps a new planning application is in the pipeline for a higher capacity.
Levy has made it perfectly clear, it is a matter of public record the NPD is not going to happen.http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-12412739

Where is that figure from? I thought we had 20,000 people on the waiting list.

I'd also be interested to know how many of those 35,000 are actually on it waiting for a season ticket. How many just pay the extra 5 quid each year to get a priority day for home league tickets?
The good thing about a stadium of this size is the club could potentially offer tickets at a slightly cheaper rate, ensuring football is still accessible to the average man on the the street, and maybe his kids too.
These days it's kind of impossible for a father (or mother, I guess) to take their kids to a game. This would be an issue for me as I have two sons aged 5 and 3, at some point they're gonna want me to take them to a game.

This will not happen if Tottenham win the bid, they barely reduce the ticket prices for cup games, supply and demand dictates prices, this is why Spammers can do kids for a quid.
Anyone know what time the decision is today?
do your sons already like football?? I only ask because my boy is 4 but hasn't shown any interest in watching football. Thought (hoped) it was due to his age. I know everyone is different but I want to indoctrinate him asap. Living in hackney he could go either way if I don't intervene. Where did I leave my beating stick and whipping belt...
Praying for West Ham to be offically announced as preferred bidders today!
