Personally, I think the OS would of been the 'best' option for the club (maybe not the fans though).

This was IMO always Plan A, back Boris/Government into a corner to cough some dough to put toward the sustainability and conservationalist elements of the NPD. Levy MUST of had a good case to have Boris willing to deal on the eve of the hearing. It was/is a very risky plan, could burn some serious bridge........but DL has balls thats for sure. Hope it's true.......

"This month's riots in north London have played a major role in persuading the club that they need to stay in Tottenham".

Errr...This month's riots in north London have played a major role persuading the government that the club needs to stay in Tottenham.

From what I've heard, let's just say if this is confirmed it is a mega result based on some very very strong evidence that isn't in the public eye! And may never be...

And what is your source for this highly newsworthy revelation?

Would be fantastic news for the club if we could actually begin work on the new stadium. Obviously the best option all along was to have a financially viable stadium in Tottenham and if that's what we end up with then Levy deserves a hell of a lot of praise.

Also if that BBC news story is accurate it makes a mockery of people who whinged about us pursuing the legal challenge on the Olympic Stadium.

Before everyone starts celebrating, the NDP deal is still not done. Whereas we just had a report saying that there was done wrongdoing on West Ham's side, which will factor into the court's consideration. We could yet lose today's litigation and end up in limbo without the NDP in place.

I think the plus factor for us, as regards the NDP, is that now there is a serious case for area redevelopment. But, ultimately, that has no impact on the OS.

I think that the effect that report has on the OS is considerable. The only way I can see us arguing around it in court is, perhaps, on the basis of conflict of interest if it is now established by experts that there were no financial irregularities.
