How do you work that one out?

From various posts in this thread that has intimated that Archway are holding out for more than the reasonable price offered, including the fact the were offered new premises much larger than their present and very close to where they are now. And for somebody who states that he is an ardent supporter he is showing a lack of support How about you stating what you know or don't know!

Whether we agree with what they're doing or not, they are perfectly entitled to do it. Maybe they just don't want to move and are fighting all the way.

Whether they want to or not, the C in CPO stands for compulsory. In the end they will have to move. There is to much at stake for the whole area, not just THFC.

For Mr Josif to say his livelihood is being threatened, is just not true, he will relocate somewhere really close, with a nice new factory and a large wedge of money in his bank account.

His lawyers will be wanting a substantial slice of that. I doubt they're on a No Win, No Fee' agreement.

He'd actually be relocating to White Hart Lane

From what I can make out using google maps, the new proposed location is nearer the A10 and north circular than where he is now. He'd also be getting a bigger facility and cash in the bank.

I think initially it was a principle thing - now he doesn't want to go back on his decision and end up looking stupid. Cutting off his nose and all that....

Thing is, he'll look a complete twonk when he walks away with far less than he was originally offered.

Does anyone know if that offer is still on the table (what ever it was) or has it been retracted because we're so far down the CPO route?

Definitely closer to the A10, and you can access the North Circular via Wolves Lane and Melville Gardens, or via Bounds Green Road to avoid the snarl-up at Clockhouse, It's also a bigger site with more room for expansion.

I doubt anyone knows. However commercialy it would be normal to make an offer of £xm with a deadline to accept or not (to focce a decision) - and the reason why its waiting fotr the CPO to be aiuthorised is that the deadline has expired.

However I'm absolutely sure that if Archway picked up the phone today and said to Levy - ''hey can we talk about a deal to move and I might be willing to sccept something like you offered before'', I'd imagine Levy would be delighted to come to a similar agreement as offered before (lets guess at £3m). But not a 'lottery win' of £20m as Archway seem to have been thinking of for their premises probably worth < £1m

500 White Hart Lane, if I remember correctly, was part of the original package along with relocation costs and cash. Cannot recall how much, varies from source to source.

I'm not sure if the offer is still on the table, my opinion - would be surprised if it was. Think he has dicked us about to much.

Billy White...Have heard a certain someone is asking a ridiculous price for a plot of land that we need to purchase to develop our stadium. They are in a good spot because they know that they stand between us and our stadium, but still the asking price is incredibly OTT even given that situation. Will take some negotiations to get that one sorted.

Don't know much info on CPO / hold up, but I do know that there could be a sliver lining to it as the door that had slammed shut that I alluded to earlier (hurdles) has now opened back up a little bit. Think you can all figure out what I'm alluding to.

As always, more to come when I can.

The 'certain someone' being none other than, um, Mr Josif of Archway Sheet Metal?

People take this crap seriously?

Complete bullshit.

Tottenham Stadium delay discussed in House of Commons

Tottenham MP David Lammy has confronted Planning Minister Nick Boles on his department's procrastination over a compulsory purchase order that continues to delay the development of the new Tottenham Hotspur stadium.

The Premier League side are waiting on a decision from the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) before they can press ahead with their new 56,000-seat stadium.

The process for the CPO began back in 2012 but Lammy, the club and Haringey Council are becoming increasingly baffled as to why the department is taking so long to respond. Ideally, Spurs would like to be in their stadium in time for the 2017-18 football season.

In a bid to get to the bottom of the mystery, the Labour MP raised the subject at DCLG questions in the House of Commons this week.

Lammy asked Boles when he expected the Secretary of State (Eric Pickles) to reach a decision on whether Haringey Council will be issued with a Compulsory Purchase Order in relation to the site of 1-3 Paxton Road, London - the current home of Archway Sheet Metal Works.

Nick Boles replied: "This is a complex case. After the close of the inquiry there were matters in respect of which further views of the interested parties were sought and considered. This has delayed the decision in this case.

"We hope to issue the decision on this shortly. It is not appropriate to comment further as to do so may prejudice the Secretary of State’s decision."

Lammy later Tweeted: "Average time for Gov to issue a CPO is 11 weeks @SpursOfficial have been waiting 108 weeks - Is @EricPickles a Gooner?"

So after being given the info you give it "complete bullshit" despite BW providing some great itk previously and Ed being one of the most respected people on coys (plus the pic on twitter of the club shop being knocked down).

Great contribution.

If we play "Where's the Wally" in this thread it's pretty obvious who and where he is.
