Not totally relevant but have a look at this little baby. $1.2 billion. Rubbish roof eh?

If the Quatari's were actually interested in buying us then an icon is what we should be producing. 360 degree videos etc. I guess we're too far down the road though.

Wow that looks fantastic and great for American Football. The screens in the roof look amazing

Problem is, zero atmosphere....

Milan building a 42k capacity stadium. (this was meant to be one of the bids but turns out fan made. Interesting though).

Yeh it looks like a football stadium merged with a shopping mall merged with an apple store.

Off topic, but that's going to be the stadium for my hometown club (finally!). It has a bit of downsizing technology to get the seats in closer for matches. And if they decide to give some IPads away, I'll make sure to airmail a few over.

I'm sure one of the construction experts on here can put me right on this but we're told that the club is planning fairly major changes from the scheme that already has planning permission, including according to some sources a substantial capacity increase; yet pictures show we're already putting in foundation pilings or whatever they're called. A substantially altered scheme would require new planning permission so either we're not making any major changes or we're plowing ahead with the new plans without obtaining planning permission first, which seems rather presumptuous. Anyone?

My thoughts exactly. I concluded some time ago that the rumours of a major redesign were suspect. It's more than possible that Populous have heavily replanned the interior to accommodate more spectators, which would require revisions to the planning consent, because of the transport, emergency escape and similar issues. But I've always thought that the prospect of a redesign involving changes to the external shell of the stadium was remote. Haringey might play ball in considering internal changes to be 'minor amendments' to the existing planning consent, although that would be a stretch. But any meaningful change to the envelope would require us to submit a complete revised planning application. That would cost us the best part of a year.

LMAO. Is that Archway in between all the dirt and the lane?:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Mostly Archway.

Of the buildings surrounded by groundworks, the square building (towards top of picture) is the former THFC ticket office and membership building - owned by the club. As you can see, there is also another building on the site (towards bottom of picture) which I think is a former Jehovah's Witnesses centre that is now empty and awaiting demolition.

It seems to me from the above picture that, although the sheet piling forms a stadium shaped curve, it is very approximate at this stage; very rough and ready. It allows for the fact that a bowl shaped stadium will be built there. But it doesn't seem to be working towards a precise stadium design as of yet.

So all options could still be open.
