Surely Wembley earn big time out of the NFL deal, otherwise they wouldnt be doing it.

But what if Levy has offered a deal where by, the NFL assist us with securing a naming rights deal with NFL games in mind. Giving them exclusive ownership on gate receipts and the like for that game weekend. set up a deal for say 10 years with a purpose built home of NFL london games before then looking at an NFL franchise (in 10-15 years) with a new naming rights deal split between the 2 teams?

That would be very attractive to me if I was tasked with attaining a long term venue outside of the states

Sounds far to complicated for my simple mind.

There was a photo last year of a tilt and rotate pitches rather than a sliding pitch - cant find it now though!

Several different ways to get a double pitch in the same stadium - can even have the grass pitch on a 'lift' which goes down prior to an NFL game (or basketball or any other game) and an artificial grass pitch on a false floor built on top - takes maybe a day to do the changeover, as well as a sliding pitches etc.

Not even a muggy English rugby side?

That would almost be as bad.

Not quite though.

I would honestly rather do a Milan thing and share our stadium with the goons before I saw our hallowed turf corrupted by some NFL team. Though that would be a bit of a Turd Sandwich/Giant douche decision.

The NFL can jog on.

For me, there would be nothing worse than sharing our new pitch/stadium with some muggy American Rugby side.
How does it affect you ? What would be different about your match day ? As far as I can see the benefits far outweigh the minute, if any affect it'll have on your match day.

It affects me in every worse way possible. It's not about match day, it would be about what THFC represented which wouldn't just be THFC.

Elsewhee on the thread lots of discussion on NFL having its own pitch - so we are NOT sharing our turf. Hope that helps

As long as we have a separate synthetic pitch then I think it will be awesome bringing NFL to London. Amazing sport that is unfortunately ruined by the amount of advert breaks etc.

It would also do wonders for us commercially from the extra revenue and exposure in the States.

You say it's an amazing sport but then say it's ruined by loads of adverts. So, really you mean it's shit.

That's not what I've got a problem with though. I don't want us to share our stadium with anyone, let alone a team that plays another sport.

It's our new stadium I want it to be about THFC and our future not THFC and some muggy franchise (that is what the Amercians call sporting sides isn't it?)

Maybe we could call the new stadium the Super Bowl or something totally awesome like that

You do realise that we shared with the london monarchs. We didn't lose our soul then. We wont do now.

Hardly the same but I see what you're saying.

I'm sure, over time, it'll be cool with most fans.

I'm probably in the minority in really hating the idea anyway.

Not a fan of this idea either, but this might cheer you up - I'd rather share the new Whitehart Lane with an NFL franchise than have moved to the OP and become a franchise, Stratford Spurs (spit).
