Surely the pitch for the NFL could be in sections that could be kept laid out at the training ground and trucked in for games, we could lay it above the football pitch which would then only need to be covered for a day or two whenever there was a NFL game which wouldn't be very often.
You could literally wave goodbye to the NFL team buses after the game and start taking it up.

Forgive me as a new member if this is already widely known on here - but as we are currently in the process of getting planning permission to build a basement under the stadium to accommodate parking and move certain stadium utilities and stuff down there it would be freeing up a fair amount of space to the South side (iirc) of the stadium..Also in the planning permission it does actually make mention of creating extra space for amongst other things 'additional changing facilities'...just thought I'd mention it if it hadn't already been.

Will be good to see if any pics are posted online somewhere after our game on Sunday. Hopefully some intrepid spurs fan will take some initiative and take some photos.

That's if anything's changed of course!

I'm sure I saw a pitch somewhere that was in hexagonal sections that all slotted in together - if it's artificial then that shouldn't be a problem.

I'm all for this partnership with NFL, but not to the detriment of the fans. I mean... watching an NFL game there are a lot of people down there at pitch side for both sets of teams, inc practice throw and kicking areas etc. I would hate for the fans to be pushed back further from the pitch in order to accomodate NFL teams. It would be like having a stupid ass running track round the stadium.

Welcome to the forum. Someone put the new plans up a few pages back shoowing where the new changing room etc... will be. Think this is what has fueled all the recent speculation in the last week or so. Probably wont know for sure until Archway move out. Then if there is a big redesign of the stadium they'll have to put in for new plans.

This concern seems to be repeated every few weeks on this thread!

Once again, Spurs would require a considerably wider pitch than a potential NFL franchise. Spurs' new pitch will likely be 68 metres wide. An NFL pitch is 49 metres wide. So there's absolutely nothing to worry about in this respect.

For a good example of this, check out pictures of Seattle's CenturyLink Field in both NFL and football modes.

Oh thank goodness! The archway fiasco reaching the bitter end seemed to threaten the stadium might actually get built within the next 5 years, but as per my doom-laden prognostications Daniel will always have some old chestnut in the fire. NFL redesign, based on the as yet unproven theory there will actually be a London NFL team, and that they would choose our stadium, wow that's some pretty long grass. A lot of water under the bridge before any of that becomes a reality and a sod is turned. This thread's been going on since 2008, and I'd hate it's regular stalwarts to have to find something else to do. Any bets on when 2018 gets pushed back?

4 postings and you've already slagged off Levy, called people Bsodl, and reckon the stadium isn't going to be built. Cornelius is that you?

Thankyou jam, this puts my mind at ease, didnt think of something simple as pitch widths :)

Thanks for the welcome Lilbaz.
I didn't check to see if the plans you mentioned a few pages back were they original ones or recent (as in this year) plans? My observation was new amendment plans submitted this year was to request the building of a basement under the stadium.
The new basement would take up the North, East and West side of the ground if I recall and the south south outside parking areas would then move underground along with whats been suggested in the planning request the 'additional creation of another changing room'. That's what I find interesting too, as that would mean it would be the 4th changing room and possibly a large one which would compliment the existing large changing room on the East side within the ground.

Funny isn't it mate. You question Levy's integrity or the dithering on the stadium so you must be a troll. I've been browsing this forum for 2 years. I've now joined because I'm so disgusted by the never ending sucking off of Daniel Levy while we see no progress on the pitch, while we're pretty much where we were with the new stadium in 2008. We still don't know for sure if it's even gonna get built...2014 became 2017 became 2018. I wonder at what point people like Lilbaz will start to question what's going on. Cue the troll accusation coming my way.

Don't worry, I'll just put you on ignore instead. Less effort.
