Witherspoon prices. Everyone has seen the success of lidl etc... Instead of trying to make £1 a pint make 50p profit a pint but sell 3 times as much.
If they could price a decent pint in the ground at around £3 and have tv's showing other games and decent food halls. People would spend a lot more time in the ground.
Have a little nightclub like chaplins at walthemstowe as well.

Guess they needed to find another venue with Chelsea/Spurs looking to play at Wembley. Not able to have the back-to-back games they want at Wembley if football needs to be played there as well.

Are they going to have any games in america?

Something doesn't add up does it?!?!

3 games at the new whl
3 at twickers
2 at Wembley

Maybe a franchise in London is closer than we think and this is just the start of it.

It's 3 at Twick spread over 3 years. Not 3 a year. This just covers the additional International game (moving to 4 from next year) until our ground is built.

Think that's guaranteed.

I was wondering if they might include a few £1 off beer coupons with every match day ticket - so as to slow the crowd going to the station

Arsenal used to do this at the Emirates - not vouchers IIRC, but bands playing at the site after matches etc.

Perhaps they could encourage fans to leave early or arrive late as well.
They could charge on what percentage of the game you actually saw.
Fans could decide when they have had good value from the day and cash out.

Alternatively immediately after the game put on a 5 aside game for the unused subs, a few retired players/commentators and a D-list celebrity or 2. If it delayed some fans for just the 10 mins to find out who was playing, that would help.

I'd prefer cheap beer and guiness.

You could do both and all the other good ideas.

So I notice a few days ago the someone posted a link to the planning site stating that the GLA and the Mayor of London had raised concerns about removing the locally listed buildings.

Those in the know, do you think that this is likely to cause further delays in the planning process? If so, do you think this is likely to have any impact on the works that are currently on-going at the new stadium site?

They offered suggestions which seem easy enough to do. Maybe a little more expensive but well within our means.

They want to keep the facade of one which we could move a little and also bills old office (i believe). Both could be incorporated into the tottenham experience and will not effect the stadium.

But i am not in the know so will bow to others experience.

That's how I read read it from this post on Skyscrapercity.

* The conclusions (paragraph 199) state that the proposal complies with the London plan in several categories: Regeneration and economic development("supported"), Mix of uses and town centre uses ("acceptable"), Sports and recreation ("strongly supported"), Visitor Infrastructure ("supported"), and Inclusive design ("generally acceptable" but suggest adding a lift to the plaza). Transport, Climate Change and Air Quality needs consultation with appropriate bodies to ensure compliance. Housing provision is "supported in principle, subject to council approval of needs and Residential density "may be acceptable", subject to resolution of issues raised in the report, while Affordable Housing needs addressing at a future stage. Historic environment was the paragraph posted above suggesting the incorporation of the Dispensary frontage into the Tottenham Experience and moving Bill Nicholson's office to the museum. Urban Design and tall buildings is described as of "a high design quality and potentially iconic", but they want clarification on certain issues with the plaza and public space and suggest changes to the Hotel and Tottenham Experience are needed. The latter is presumably dealing with the heritage buildings.

The report from the Greater London Authority/Mayor of London's is generally positive, but aside from the historic building which has been discussed in the thread there's quite a few issues to be finalised with more info from Spurs to be provided, discussions to be had and agreements to be given to the proposals

If everything went absolutely fantastically perfectly its 3 months to get planning agreed, but its likely with the number of points (buildings, transport, drainage, diesel generators, detailed affordable housing proposals, cycle and car parking etc) that it will be longer, but how much longer could depend upon how realistic, flexible and willing that all parties (Spurs, Haringey, GLA and other parties) are to reach an accommodation.

Full summary is worth a read (para 199) - the last 2 pages of the 34 page report.
