This is a real worry, big income to the pickets with hardly any running costs
Seb Coe wanted his legacy but he also owns major shares in the company responsible for redeveloping the land crystal palace athletics stadium sits on.
Big income? Match day revenue is all about the high price seats. It's no coincidence that the goons have the highest prices in the land and take more dough on match days than anyone else. Unfortunately, that's the model we are following.
West Ham now have the cheapest tickets, which is great for their support ( although it's in a crap stadium ) but not so great for their owners. Their game all along is to gamble with this move. Cheape tickets to attract potential new fans, build a squad on the cheap, hope it achieves some sort of success ( needed for glory hunters ) and then increase ticket prices. If this was in Scotland they'd be dangerous. Problem is its in England and it's far too competitive for them to achieve sustained success.
Their own fanbase is fickle as. If Bilic loses a few early doors they'll be on his back quick. Unrealistic expectations. Theres potential for real revolt there given the owners tucked the support up over the move.
Reminds me of this
You can accuse West Ham fans of many things, but they are loyal. They are very far from a plastic club. Yes their home support can be unforgiving and turn quickly (very much like us really), but they are a well supported club who's fans have put up with a barrel load of shit over the years and still turned up.
Anybody know what that giant silver box to the right of the gap is ? It has to be temporary as it would be on the pitch
