So if I remember correctly the club has to notify the FA by Friday if it wants to olay the first few games away ?

On the seat view checker i noticed that above the north stand there is some sort of structure suspended from the roof. I've not seen it mentioned anywhere before and wondered if anyone knows what it is?

I think that’s just the service gantry.

I’ve got a nephew in the states who said he can’t wait til he comes over and goes to the new stadium. I asked him who he wants to watch and he said the NY Giants.

I hung up on the ****

Or is it?

There's the two sky lounges in the east and west stands. This bit joins the two together via a walkway/lounge area suspended in the roof structure. I don't think it will be used during matches but outside of that there are a couple of renders about showing viewing windows, lounge seats and a small bar.

Would make an excellent celebrity area for concerts and other sports as well I suspect for TV commentary.

It was never really a service gantry, but the usage was officially changed not long ago, it's now part of/an additional sky lounge. If you look at the initial plans you can see it was always specced out with tables and stuff and it has big windows, both factors which give the lie to the existing described use, but, yeah, it's a Sky Lounge now.

Jesus it gives me vertigo. Just thinking about being suspended from the roof like that.

Are we sure it’s not some sort of walk the plank device Levy has installed for contractors who fail to deliver in the critical paths?

When all completed is there anyway in the future the stadium can be expanded? I'm not sure how easy it would be. I've never heard anything happening at The Emirates

I remember Levy saying it cannot be expanded a few years back. Think it's weird they don't incorporate future expansion into the design.

EDIT: Really nicdic? My post deserved a doh? I swear there are some really ****y people on here...

It wouldn't be that hard to actually design future expansion into a stadium but as posted below the chosen design of the roof would mean it would have to be torn down and redesigned in its entirety.
