Dirty BastardBeing escorted round the ground Tuesday - can't wait to take it all in in real life. ?
It's just occurred to me - do we have any cranes that can reach that southern most point of the roof? Or is that what the big green one is being used for inside? Most of the lifting of the roof panels that i've seen so far has been done by the big static ones.
I've grown fond of the cranes, can we keep them?
I think the idea was to on-sell them to Chelsea (chuckle).I thought we did (own the blue and white ones at least) as there was a shortage of tower cranes available to hire for the timeline we needed them.
It was deemed cheaper to buy and sell them on after we're done with them, keeping in mind won't a couple be needed during the next phase? (hotel/residential bit plus the proposed goods yard development that I know nothing about)

I have never been involved in construction or engineering but watching that roof cassette being installed was compulsive viewing...

I keep wondering about the gaps between the panels. Does anyone know how we fill them in?
Solid gold guttering most of the roof, double cheap silicone above the away fans section I've been told.

Also is the public square/plaza meant to be completed at the same time as the stadium?
Damn, I was hoping for some kind of bubble machine just to make the West ham fans jealous.
WEst ham fans and 3 year olds. The only people in the universe that get jealous if somebody else has a bubble machine.
But what if it was the best bubble machine in the whole world?

We had 32,000 do it last season!I think all the approaches to the stadium will have to complete to gain a safety certificate. You can’t have 62k people navigating a building site.
I think the two big static ones at that end have an enormous sweep and should cover it ok.It's just occurred to me - do we have any cranes that can reach that southern most point of the roof?
