Concerts are actually their highest earner.

Saw some numbers a while back which equated to around £8 million a concert.
And record earnings, according to Wiki, for a single concert was Madonna at £9.4 million ($12 million).

It makes sense, as if you get a crowd of 60-70,000 all paying an average of £100 you're looking at £6-7 million straight away plus hospitality/food & drink/merchandise etc.

Well yeah but a lot of people have their slice of that £6-7m. Madonna I'm thinking would be taking a fair slice of it.

Are we seriously comparing a billion pound project to a house renovation?
No one is comparing. They are just putting things in perspective by showing or demonstrating how a small thing like a new house can be ready for habitation while not being finished, much less a new 62,062 seater stadium.

Official from the the club just now -

The delays created by these difficulties mean that we can no longer hold the necessary Test Events on 27 August and 1 September. These will need to be rescheduled to take place ahead of any first official match at the new stadium in order to achieve the safety licence.

In the meantime, therefore, our upcoming Premier League matches against Liverpool (15 September) and Cardiff City (6 October) will be switched to Wembley, as will the NFL match scheduled for 14 October.

Liverpool & Cardiff game moved to Wembley

More importantly so is the NFL game.

Bit of a shambles to be honest. Certainly doesn't make us look very good and probably a fairly big reason behind us currently having no naming rights.

How many games are we allowed to play at Wembley before it has to be used for the rest of the season?

I'll be seriously pissed off if they give us this bullshit 'credit' refund again. I want my money returned for these matches

They were quick enough to take our money in May for a product we can't use until end of October

So, yes, a bit of a balls up, after the transfer window balls up.

I really hope the cost of this Wembley business didn't affect our spending power during the window.
