Got to say I love the way the top of the Tottenham Experience rises up on the same sweep as the curve of the south stand, perfect example on Chris Cowlin's latest at 14:39.

a correction to your statement. when there is only 4 trophies available including 1 in a European competition and you have the likes of Man C, Chelsea, Man U, Liverpool, and even Arsenal who have a greater in take since they were either bank rolled or in the right place when the Premier League started it makes competing for 3 domestic trophies very difficult. if he had had a crystal ball and knew that the 1 season 5 of those teams would struggle in a season, and annoyingly we never really had a glaring whole the season Leicester won the title he might of been a little braver. on all 5 that are above us in the financial league, all have been paying near on double our wages per season. Only Arsenal have built a whole stadium, but still had enough there to win 3 FA Cups (though 2 of those seasons the draw and luck they had, is something usually only happens in dreams).

to of stayed in the old stadium for another 10 years, he still wouldn't of been able to pay the wages required for the quality needed to win the title, also when the stadium started, he never knew of a manager like Poch that could get us to where we are on a shoestring budget.

if you want to blame anyone for our lack of success blame Scholar for sending us back decades at the wrong time or Ambramovic for flying too far and buying Chelsea for pennies due to their financial difficulties, or whoever arranged for the Athletics World Championships (or whatever it was called) to be held Manchester allowing City to have a brand new and bigger stadium, and not cost a fortune investor to buy City.

your right a 60k stadium is needed to help success and we now have that size stadium. we will now need either ENIC to sell to owners close to City's owners wealth or just hope eventually he backs our manager
I think the real set back was the lack of investment or foresight by Sugar - Scholar has some blame but Sugar took that to an even lower level.

This guy is clearly working on the stadium has loads of pics on TL. Appears a big spurs fan and says next year. See no reason to really disbelieve him.

yes I do agree, but because of the mess Scholar left us in, and then the PL and Sky starting soon after Sugar we was always playing catch up. Had Scholar not messed up on the stadium development at the time we might of not had to sell crucial players at a time we was a good team. I blame Sugar for sacking Venables as I honestly think we was on the right track (bar financials)

Just to add this was his response to when ?

“My heart says March my head says next season”

Out of curiosity does anyone actually really still believe when we were sold the ST the club really thought would be ready for September 15th. Even if it were say ready for December 15th,I find it incredibly hard to believe that the 3 months extra could have been quickened along and it was just fire systems.

It seems like some folk would rather rim Levy's anus than criticize him. C'est la vie

because some people have seen what ENIC have done, and from the last post I quoted of yours, the money from the old stadium was always going to hold us back. we all want to see trophies, but we have never really had the finances to be able to compete. the only 2 real windows we have messed up was the Saha and Nelson 1, and the season Leicester won the league.

the stadium going pear shaped at the time it did definitely never helped this window, but even buying this window never meant it was going to be easy to overturn City's 23pts, and because of the World Cup to be able to really give our boys the rest we needed, we would of definitely needed to sell 4+ players to then buy due to the size of the squad.

if the stadium was going to open that late, they wouldn't of laid the pitch, and put in as many seats

"the megastore you alleged would be opening in July to coincide with the U.S. tour? This is how it looks today. but scheduled to open next month only 4 months late. It’s the hope that kills you. Stadium ready next year. "

I read this as the shop opens next month, the stadium to be be ready next year. Whether true or not, we'll find out in due course

Each to their own... As I have said on here before, Levy ( or any owner of Spurs, for that fact ) have no choice but to build a newer bigger stadium. The game has progressed to a point where if you are a big club, then you need a 60k ground regardless. You need bums on seats - and many more of them. You need to generate revenue. You need to get CL qualification and most importantly you need to win trophies. So in my humble opinion, Levy has done no more than expected in building the stadium and no more than any other owner of this great club would have had to do sooner or later.

What Levy hasn't done is won us trophies and titles. That part of Levy i dont appreciate. You are correct. And I never will! He will go down as a failure imo. I would much rather have had a few league titles, and a few more FA cups and Euro cups and stay at the old stadium for another 10 years than have 1 shit pot trophy and a new stadium to show for it.

But since he's getting the stadium done....he can get it done and then he can do one AFAIC. And hopefully he and JL have the sense to sell to someone who is willing to pump money into the club to get us trophies, not some hooky billionaire that just wants to rinse us for every penny like ENIC have done.

Its all good having a world class stadium but if ENIC stays around waiting for someone stupid enough to pay over 2B quid for us and in that time we get no proper investment in the team and our best players leave we will be right back where we started before Poch came along and no more trophies..And by the time ENIC does sell us their legacy they are so desperately striving to create with this stadium will look more like the legacy of Wenger when he left Arse. It will be full of resentment from the fans' point of view and what will ENIC have gained? Nothing.
We wouldn't win a league staying at the old ground, I'm sorry but you are just talking nonsense. Take it to the Brexit thread.
