I reckon the escalating cost of continuing to play at Wembley, where it appears we have an option agreement for the rest of the season, but are paying per match, will dictate that we move into the new stadium at the earliest opportunity, irrespective of the opposition for the first match, irrespective of the frequency of home matches, irrespective of any moaning or otherwise from other clubs, pretty much irrespective of everything. We're shelling out millions per week on extra Wembley rent and, as yet, there is no guarantee that money will ever be recouped from a contractor or subcontractor.I think it depends on how the players feel. They may feel the same as you but then they might think that Wembley is going well so let's keep playing there.
David - with THFC essentially being the main contractor, I think we will have a job on our hands getting any significant monies back.I reckon the escalating cost of continuing to play at Wembley, where it appears we have an option agreement for the rest of the season, but are paying per match, will dictate that we move into the new stadium at the earliest opportunity, irrespective of the opposition for the first match, irrespective of the frequency of home matches, irrespective of any moaning or otherwise from other clubs, pretty much irrespective of everything. THFC is not the main contractor. There is no "main contractor" in construction management. Mace are the construction managers. The buck lands there first. In general, if Mace can show that the mess with the alarm system was down to a design error or an execution error by a subcontractor that Mace could not reasonably have been expected to detect and rectify, Mace should be able to pass along their liability to the offending party.David - with THFC essentially being the main contractor, I think we will have a job on our hands getting any significant monies back.
