Daniel and Donna the parasite filth that they are want to hold onto those Arsenal funds for that little while longer it seems. They'll probably get Poch to do their dirty work this time.

At a guess I’d say we’d make more from the Arsenal game being at Wembley than at new stadium. Gate receipts would probably be £1.5m more minus the rent payment.

It's objectively false that we are better at Wembley. Final season at Old WHL we were unbeaten in all comps if I remember correctly. We lost a couple last season and have lost 3 (?) this season.

So the moaning teams can properly objectively and subjectively go do one.

We've lost 4 this season at Wembley (Liverpool, City, United and Wolves).

I wonder if there'll be law-suits flying around once the stadium is completed?
I think it will depend on the relationships. All parties would be keen to avoid that and would want to do everything possible to finish the project. The sensible thing is to agree to get it sorted as soon as possible and a compromise arranged. Legal fights or even threats won’t do anyone any good at the moment.

*Edit - in addition I would consider it negligence of the highest order if Spurs had not somehow allowed for the possibility of this happening. It was a complex little project, especially given the timeframe. It could just as easily have been some other key component of the project. Insurance against these possibilities perhaps?

No one is going to want this to end up in court, but it wouldn't surprise me if that's where it ends up. The sums of money that will be claimed will be very large. The number of parties between whom liability will be batted back and forth will be several: THFC, Mace, several subcontractors, whoever designed and specified the alarm system and perhaps one or more of the manufacturers. The law covering liquidated damages is a minefield of successive, often contradictory precedents. The liquidated damages clauses in a construction management contract can be non-standard, compared to a conventional building contract. Some of the parties who might be apportioned some or all of the liability could be driven out of business by the size of the claim, if they hold insufficient liability cover. They'll all contest liability vigorously.

All of these factors will make a commercial settlement difficult, which will make it more likely for it to be settled through litigation, which would take years and could cost more than the claim itself.

The only certainty here is that lawyers will get richer.

Late completion isn't really insurable and, if it were, cover would be swingeingly expensive, because the risk of late completion is so likely to crystallise on any given contract. Developers tend to flatter themselves that things won't go wrong on their contract, so they would be reluctant to pay for an expensive insurance policy when there is already a liquidated damages clause.

At a guess I’d say we’d make more from the Arsenal game being at Wembley than at new stadium. Gate receipts would probably be £1.5m more minus the rent payment.
That may be what s/he means, but it's wrong. Every match at Wembley costs the club money, compared to playing at home, for reasons I have listed several times, most recently yesterday.

Almost certainly not the case. Even if you assume we'd get 85k at Wembley which is far from certain, prices at the new ground at 30-40% higher which already more than covers that, we get to keep the money from food and drink sales, we don't have to pay rent, and we get huge revenue from the corporate sections.

So the game against Palace in March would have been the first game if both us and Palace had knocked each other out in the 4th round game!?

Levy Just announce the stadium won't be ready till next season already and shaft the paying fans for another season why don't ya !!!
There are lists of reasons why he wouldn't do this on the previous 2 or 3 pages. Why don't you try reading about what is happening, instead of coming on here and just barking out your "opinion" without any attempt to engage in a discussion.
