Does anybody seriously think that there's someone at the club saying "Well, the announcement is all ready to go, but the fans don't really deserve it so we'll hold off?" Or, conversely, that they'd say "Well, we're not really certain we can do those dates, but the fans really want to know so we'll announce them anyway?" It just doesn't make sense to base a very major announcement's timing on fan opinion.
If we get knocked out today - stadium announcement will be tomorrow....

Howlin at Cowlin. Naturally he's been on a tour of Dortmund stadium rattling on about how their wall has fewer seats than ours. Lies of course but always good to see content from Cowlin.

The Premier League has told Tottenham Hotspur it will not permit them to move into their new stadium this season unless it is ready for their next home game, which will either be the visit of Brighton & Hove Albion or Huddersfield Town next month. The Times has learnt that the Premier League is insisting that Tottenham play all five of their remaining home games at their new ground or stay at Wembley for the rest of the season.

At least we will know one way or the other. I’d say mid March is the longest they can drag it out till. They will probably wait till Brighton FA cup game see what happens. If they win gives them another week.

Will be interesting to see Sol Campbell up against some of Inter's top past attacking players.

I don't see what difference playing three, four, or five games in the new stadium makes. The FA were perfectly fine with us playing three to four matches at Wembley at the start of the season and then moving to NWHL, I can't see how the reverse of that has any impact on the integrity of the competition.

34 matches at one stadium and four at the other is 34 matches at one stadium and four at the other, regardless of which stadium is which. Each match at Wembley is costing us massively, it's incredibly frustrating that we could be forced to bear that cost for more matches than we actually need to on the basis of an arbitrary distinction over a principle which the FA has already implicitly disregarded by allowing us to split the fixtures in the first place.

No offence meant but I don't believe that at all, why would the Premier league decide that five games is ok but four isn't? and why five and not six?
It suggests that the premier league has a standard number in mind that they'll accept in which case when did they come up with that figure? Last October? January? Or last week when we told them we can play our last five games at home? See what I mean, it's just too arbitrary, in fact it only makes sense if we've told them we will play our last five games and they've said ok show us the confirmation as we won't let you play a game and then revert back to Wembley, not something I'd have thought we'd countenance ourselves anyway.

Sadistic or what! Drop a bomb like that and then decide to leave it! :(
Sorry.

The FA read this thread and got angrier over time with the constant deviations from the main topic.

On tv they say it’s 25k capacity. I think that is the standing capacity. Doesn’t look any bigger than ours.

Are you sure it's lies. Yes it is 25k with safe standing but that by it's nature means it has less seats.

Just looked at the fixtures i know the first team ones have always shown being at Tottenham Stadium..... both u23 games in April are now being as at that venue as well

Nothing new - this is from 1st Feb...

Apologies if this has been covered already but the U23 fixtures from April onwards are listed on the OS as being played at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium (https://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/matches/u23/).
The Chelsea match on March 1st is still at the Lamex in Stevenage but everything after that (no home games until Monday April 8th) is at the new stadium.

Seems odd to use such a big stadium for the U23s when about a third of these matches have taken place at our training ground this year. Either capitalising on people who can't get tickets for the first team games once it opens or potential test events? Would hope the former as 29th April for the second test wouldn't be great for the first team getting in before the end of the season.

Whether it's a coincidence or not but the ticketing website has changed lay out, now shows pic of the new ground and Brighton tickets aren't available at the moment, does this mean new stadium 1st game is Brighton?

CL draw on March 15, Brighton v. Millwall is March 17. Who thinks we get an announcement on March 18?
That's probably too late, given test events. Possible that we'll have seperate announcement of test event dates (hopefully between tomorrow and Friday to take place on the 23rd and 30th), and then the first match later once we know what's going on fixture wise.

Don’t even need to click the link to know Matt Hughes has written it.
