I wouldn't expect to hear anything.
We have already announced the Palace game, so unless we hear otherwise its now passed tests and ready.

That was my own thoughts, too.

It just seems weird that we could announce the Palace game, which means it will be played, but still had to do the test events.

Are/were the test events not part of the safety side of things?

For those wondering how busy marketplace was this was it @ 3:40 (1h50m before ko)

I was in North Upper so proof you could walk around freely

The club advertised the stadium to fans with the idea of being able walk round to any section you want. In reality that simply isn't true. Certain sections including going to the south/north stands from the east were all closed off with stewards blocking the doors and that caused quite a few issues between fans and stewards from what I saw. It;s just going to be so busy in the concourses that moving from one stand to another at full capacity just isn't going to be feasible. Shame the club advertised it as such.
Really?? We walked on level 1 all the way round from north gate 10 through the market place round to the away block which was shut off. The only issues I found were when people were trying to enter the stadium into areas that were already busy, but they cleared ok.

I belive they are, but I'm guessing it's practically signed off before they let 35k and 45k fans in.

Yeah I'm probably just over thinking it. I'm just wondering what we'd have done if something had gone wrong at either test event, and it meant the Palace game couldn't be played after we'd confirmed the new stadium as the venue.

I mentioned this in the legends match thread but it’s probably more relevant here.

On the stream yesterday the advertising hoardings around the pitch looked quite high up or higher than in WHL. I guess it could have been the camera angle but what did those who went to the stadium think?

Were they a bit too much?

(I don’t want to turn this into a taking corners or slope around the pitch issue, it’s just something I noticed that may be different actually in your seat)

My only grumble about the advertising was just how bright the three layers of adverts between lower & upper levels were as the whole ground lit up any time the bright white bits came on and was quite distracting

Bit worried by how many players were slipping over. Pitch was cutting up quite badly.

I wasn’t there but saw absolutely no evidence of the pitch cutting up at all ? Where were the divots from the pitch cutting up ?

On another note there’s a guy on SSC stevied who has some connection with the club has posted snippets throughout. Said now the club expects to make double on concessions the original estimate. Personally I think the market place scenario is here to stay and this part of levy master plan is spot on.

Of course the concourse was rammed. Its brand new and EVERYONE wants to nose about.
I highly doubt it'll still be as chaotic in 6 months time.
Nobody is gonna sit in their seat at ht or turn up 5min before ko or even 10min into the match for weeks.
Talking about what its going to be like because of how busy it was yesterday is nonsense.
Appreciate there'll be another 15k people but even so, it will calm down a bit.
I got quite choked watching the pre match legends walking out yesterday. Disappeared upstairs so mrs couldnt see lol.

Think you're sat not too far along from me. What's the view like? Can't wait to see the white wall in full voice on Wednesday. Going to be unreal!
Incredible view and the steepness of the stand is perfect so it doesn’t feel too steep yet the row in front won’t block your view.

A LOT of steps to get up to the 5th level though. Saw a few people stopping for a breather before getting to the top

I've taken the escalators at Wembley for granted. :ROFLMAO:

Agree. It was very gimmicky. I'm hoping they were just testing the full spectrum

Well I’ve been thinking o both and could clearly see the pitch cutting up and players slipping over a lot.

I’m assuming they can turn it down if they need to then.
