My thoughts on the stadium :

A cliché, but photos don’t really do it justice, particularly outside.

They don't, but yours sure as hell does it more justice that the ones I took on my phone...

Rumour over on COYS that the club had made £800k on drink and food by half time on Wednesday night. Not sure if that includes premium and corporate areas. I’d assume so at that level. Pinch of salt and all that.

That seems realistic to be honest about £12 ahead. I’d estimated at £10–15 per game.

Interestingly I did a quick poll on twitter just over 200 votes so far and 75% have said they will continue coming early to eat and drink.

I put a comment on the poll about it depends on the day.

Weekend > 2 hours early to get in and enjoy a good pre match drink

Week day > grab food outside the ground and get in 30 mins before ko

Of course they will. As will I until I’ve at least explored all the area I can get to inside.

Next season will be the time to judge it.

Looking at the plans, it would be great if the area in the North stand marked future fit out was turned into another bar, food court etc. Doesn't have to be another market place but would relieve a lot of pressure from the bars in the other stands, as the North stand doesn't really have an equivalent.

Sadly I think the idea was it'd become possibly another premium restaurant in the future, so I'm not sure how great in and out is. Seems designed to be accessed from the basement car park/ outside, rather than GA areas, with only small door way access from the core stair cases. So probably couldn't ever happen.

does anyone know if any of the merch kiosks sell last season's shirts on the cheap? they used to at the old ground, got a 15/16 home shirt for just 15 quid before a game in the second half of the season at the lane. the only ones available online are for people who aren't a medium size!

Go back a few years and the list of pubs was endless just within half a mile roughly I think we had the following pubs may have missed some;
Antwerp Arms, Bell & Hare, The Bricklayers, Coach & Horses, The Chequers, The White Hart, The Corner Pin , Prince of Wales, Three Compasses, The British Queen, Northumberland Arms, The Red Lion, The Two Brewers . The Milford tavern , The Whitehall Tavern & The Railway Tavern and that's just Tottenham pubs have not counted Edmonton. About 16 pubs within about half a mile can any stadium in the world beat that and sadly many gone. You wouldn't have to queue 1/2 hour for a beer in any of them.

For those who like to reminisce http://tottenham-summerhillroad.com/old_pubs_of_tottenham.htm

The Bull, The Ship, Bootlaces, Coolbury Club, The Cockerel (The Bank), The Victoria, Conservative Club, The Beehive, Elbow Room, The Bill Nick.

Interesting comment by Eriksen
Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen has spoken about what it was like to play at the club's new stadium, admitting it felt "very different" to what he and his teammates had been used to and saying they will need to get used to one particular aspect.
After months of delays, the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is up and running, the opening ceremony and first senior game having not only been ticked off but having gone incredibly smoothly.

Crystal Palace were Spurs' first opponents back at N17 and Mauricio Pochettino's charges successfully got through what could have been a nervy occasion, beating the Eagles 2-0 thanks to goals from Son Heung-min and Eriksen.
With almost 60,000 people in attendance, the stadium was noisy and Eriksen admitted that it did make it difficult for the players to communicate with each other at times, but the Dane said this was offset by the Lilywhites faithful roaring in support of their charges.
