We are a couple of norwegian yids travelling to the Newcastle away game. Probably takin the train from London early saturday.. Anybody else takin the train?

Which pub is good on the matchday? We got a couple of magpies-friends so wouldt be bad if it was allowed fans from both teams

I've not actually been to any Newcastle pubs - I've only been to St. James Park once and we didn't go to a pub.

Before and after the game go into Sam Jacks, like the Bill Nick it has Dancers good music and a DJ who is funny as f*ck.Its where the Newcastle fans go before and after the game, you do get away supporters in their with no trouble.You can youtube it.

Definitely Sam Jacks, if you are feeling brave enough you can take on the 'away day' challenge, which consists of something like the following.

On the subject, what are the chances of these going to general sale? My mate's old man wants to join us but he isn't a member, I'm imagining any on GS will be released early next week?

I think last year they went to General Sale up there but I would be shocked if they did this time round as it is first game of the season.

Hmm. I suppose with away fixtures they're pretty fussy with names on the membership cards for ticketing aren't they? My other half has a membership but she's working so can't make it, wondering if my mate's dad could go on her membership?

Yeah I would just use the membership, when you get the ticket, especially for away games it wont really matter what name is on it.

There's one literally straight across the street from the main exit of Newcastle train station. Can't remember the name of it, but I've been to it more than once and there is a really healthy mix of Spurs fans and Newcastle fans. Booze also isn't the most expensive either !

Its a O'Neill's pub.

You can drink in any pub in Newcastle and receive a great welcome with the home lot. Great place - probably my fave away game of them all as they just love their footy.

Sam Jacks comes highly recommended though...

As for cut off points, allocation, general sale etc....Us season ticket lot do not have a clue as to how many loyalty points we have yet due to the club changes this season so doubt allocations will be decided too soon tbh.

As others have said, Sam Jacks is a bloody good choice, as are any of the bars around 'The Gate' complex.

If you can though I'd recommend doing the whole weekend up there, or at least one of Friday/Saturday night. Really good night out is the Toon.

Just talked to the ticket office. And we wont know if we get tickets until thursday or friday. We are travelling from Norway so kinda short notice for us. Cant book anything until we know we got tickets.. Seems there has to be a way ticket office can solve this sooner? Im about nr 1000 on the waiting list for season tickets.. Anybody know if i will get a ticket for castle away?
