Chelsea beaten, which was the big one in my "hoping to happen" column! (y)

We do not need Arsenal or any other club to do us favours with regards to us finishing ahead of Liverpool. We both have played 29 games but we have two more points. Their goal difference is 12 while ours is 19. We finishing ahead of Liverpool is totally in our hands.

So if Wolves and Crystal Palace turn up against West Ham and Everton respectively on Monday, all we have to do is beat Newcastle to be in the top 4

Now watch us fuck that up!

The thing is that teams that have had a lot of players who went away with their respective international teams will suffer this weekend, so I think it will be a real struggle.

I really want to see signs on intent like the last game. Also for Jose to remain ruthless no places for players like Winks, keep Devine and Scarlett on the bench.

Dont like it too much like Arsenal 71 for me. Its as bad as them wearing all blue.

It's still deeply part of our history though, we first wore yellow in 1958 so it's still a Tottenham colour in my eyes.

There was even an article on it on the Spurs website:

A traditional Spurs colour, yellow kits have been a staple of our history with us wearing 19 such strips since the late 1950s.

We first pulled on a yellow jersey in 1958. It was at the start of a ‘glory, glory ‘ period in the Club’s history as, in the years following, legendary manager Bill Nicholson led us to our famous double in 1961, two more FA Cups, two League Cups, the European Cup Winners’ Cup and the UEFA Cup, before he departed the dugout in 1974. We wore four different yellow strips under Bill Nick.

Meanwhile, the last time we headed into a season with a yellow kit was six years ago, ahead of the 2014/15 campaign - Harry Kane's breakthrough season, with our homegrown striker hitting 24 goals in just 42 appearances. We also reached the League Cup Final.

Our latest yellow strip positions our crest as well as the Nike swoosh centrally in a nod to famous past kits - most notably worn in our 1982 FA Cup triumph and during our run to glory in the 1984 UEFA Cup.

No, you're not; appears to be happening to a fair few, including me!

Dr Tottenham has definitely been paged this morning, so I hope he’s out on the golf course and ignoring messages rather than preparing his favourite syringe to administer a lovely shot right into Steve Bruce’s buttock..

Our club seems so desperate to make green And purple traditional colours. I much prefer dark blue and yellow

I'm not big on green but I do like purple, one of my favourite shirts growing up was the purple and navy blue striped pony one :D I agree though dark blue away and yellow third is my preference.

There's a lot of optimism and confidence in the team again now, it finally seems as though we have figured it out and started to take the right steps towards consistency and a final surge towards the top four position. Maybe even pick up a bit of momentum ahead of the cup final. The future is looking a lot brighter right now. That said, I'm going with Newcastle 1-0. COYS.

Really intrigued to know what line-up and formation today, will he stick with the 4-4-2 or revert back to the 4-2-3-1?

I think he’ll play the below :

lloris

tanganga
Sanchez
Rodon
Reggi

PEH
Tangy
Lucas
Son

Vincius or GLC
Kane

Son, Moura, Kane should be too much for them, Bale too if he plays. Need to not waste chances.

Wouldnt be too surprise to see Aurier and Toby come back into the starting line up. Be disappointing if he does do that though as neither Rodon or Tanaganga deserve to be dropped after there performances against Villa. GLC will start as well I reckon but will be out wide which is complete waste. Lucas will be in the number 10 role.

Bit over the top! Today is a game we really should be winning. I dont think it will have anyone worrying if we do win as expected. Our next two games after today are where we can make a real statement especially given our pathetic record since November against teams in the top half of the table. Win both of those as well as today obviously then that will be where we make a statement about our ambition to finish in the top 4.

Yea would be a real shame if aurier and Toby come back in, I really don’t think they will to be honest, Jose is usually good at starting people that deserve to start and no need to rotate anymore with no mid week matches so if all are fit then rodon and tanganga should start 100%.
Agree GLC Is wasted on the wing he needs to play as an 8 or 10.
