Newcastle are a really poor side. If we don't beat this lot, we really should pack up for the summer. Still think we might drop points though, as Lloris and Vertonghen are crucial to us for their experience (as well as their undoubted quality) and despite his questionable form Walkers pace is vital to the balance of the side.

not sure if serious? they beat chels at home and should have done the scum too, not too long ago. united nickedone in injury time too. this attitude is what makes us look stupid, every game is very hard, very close, and if we are without hugo and jan again i cant see us getting all three points.

We are so knackered and piss-poor at the moment that any team with a bit of fight in them can turn us over. Hope I don't sound too negative to some of the happy pill brigade on here, but it's called reality.

Roll on next season (without Europa crap) please...

I am serious. I think Newcastle are a really poor side, totally unmotivated, with a poor manager. I agree no game is easy in the premier league. I've been a Spurs season ticket holder for over a decade, so know full well there are no gimmes. i don't just expect us to beat everyone outside the top four home and away. I thought we would drop points at Burnley as they are an organised side fighting for their lives. But Newcastle are a mess. They couldn't even get motivated for their big local derby against Sunderland.

But Spurs should be expecting to win these games against an out of sorts Newcastle. It is lack of ambition and acceptance of mediocracy that runs throughout our club from owners, through managers, players and fans that is out greatest problem. You sir typify these weaknesses.

However you're probably right, we won't win tomorrow because we've got a couple of injuries.

Spurs 1st team squad have hit a run of fatigue, seems more mental than physical... since wembley final / international games break we have been very poor. So Poch. and staff have to motivate them again.. We have some better quality players than teams in the lower half of PL from 8 place down)...

Therefore, It is right we should expect to beat these teams, home and away, worth 63 points in a season, and pick up points against the other (PL top half) teams But we are well below our target now... CL place min. 74 points.. Players have to wake up and get the 3 points from every game remaining, their own self respect, and show they are serious professionals to the fans..... COYS

Aston Villa is also a poor side, and our players made them look like world beaters.
On our day we can make any team look good. We halted West Brom's bad run, We managed to kick start Manure's season, Wet spam looked good against us then reverted back to shit, Crystal palace revival not to mention Timmys Aston Villa oops already mentioned.

Same team = same performance and same result.

Hoping, but not expecting some wholesale changes. Otherwise yet another borefest and embarrassing display.

Yep. I'm not even so worried about the result at this stage: I'd just like to see him acknowledge the recent issues and shake-up the line-up to give people a try and make a point to others that their standards aren't acceptable. He needs to stop the rot now so we don't carry over this awful momentum into next season.

Yep. I think that body and mind are pretty much indivisible. I don't know if they practice meditation or yoga or some such, but I would hope that dimension would be addressed. (Sorry, just finished reading a Tim Parks book on this sort of stuff. Funny and truthful.)

Newcastle are playing very poorly at the moment but IMHO we are worse and with three of our better players missing Walker, Lloris and Verts I think we'll get turned over agai. We really haven't got a very good or balanced squad, if we get a result it will be through luck rather than skill.:dead:
