Next round of the cup

Thing is....Chelsea/United/Arsenal will not put out their usual CC teams against us.

United and Arse probably would put most of the players that have played so far. Perhaps have more senior players on the bench. Chelsea play a pretty strong line up as it is, looking at the team they had out last night.

A home draw against anyone would be fine. Away to anyone but City/Chelsea/United would be ok too.

If that happened, there would be killings beyond belief and another European ban for all English clubs. Chelsea or West Ham vs Tottenham would come close, but that's not a likely CL Final is it? Imagine Rangers vs Celtic Europa Cup final abroad somewhere.....??!!!

I don't care too much because winning the Carling Cup is not what I want us to achieve - it's the only thing we've won for 19 years and about time we achieved something else - also leads only to the less than thrilling Europa Cup. Top 4 in the League would mean so much more and failing that the FA Cup - though it also leads to Europa Cup the history and prestige of it is so much higher.

I'd prefer Arse to play ManU at home and ManC to play chelsea at home. Hopefully they can knock out the visiting teams, I think Arsenal and Man C would be the easiest to beat. Even better if the winners play each other in the semi's.

Hopefully we'd play the winner of Rovers v Villa in the semi's.

Knowing our luck we'll play Chelsea next, then get Arsenal in the semi's and ManU in the final
