I have to say, yet another new shirt - are we becoming the new ManU? Yes, I know we will have to change this year because of the anniversary logo thingy, but come on guys, talk about milking the fans. Next season's shirt needs to last at least a couple of seasons!!!

We found out a few years ago that we're one of many clubs that will change their kit every season.

I hate wearing collars - wonder what the players make of them - to me they would impede movement and sweat filled possibly chafe your neck - but hey I'm not exactly the hard man type so maybe footballers take all that stuff in their stride -

anyway I wouldn't want to wear one - but as I never buy replica kits that's no loss to Spurs :)

Correct and I can't believe we've had people complaining about "yet another new shirt" every time this get discussed. It was hardly a secret when they announced it.

You don't have to buy the latest shirt every season. It means more money for the club if they do one a season, I'm sure it's part of the record deal with Puma. More money for the club=more money for players

I just love the all white kit and wish we could keep it as our main kit forever, with requisite messing around to keep the money rolling in

I thought there was something brought in to stop clubs changing kits every season! As England shirts now have a kind of sell by date on them saying when they will be changed (if that makes sense) I think the Man utd one has one it as well. As watchdog or someone complained about the frequency a few years ago and cost about clubs/international teams changing there shirts! Anyway could be completely wrong there!

I like the Blue kit we have had this season! Must say the yellow one seems bit of waste of time only worn it a handful of times!

Can I just add the following bit to the thread title - ... "is not out yet".

For all Truespurs's 38 posts, which I am sure have been brill, this one is pure speculation.

Don't really think anything particular of that kit, but regardless of the kits design I'm not really a fan of Mansions logo, but believe I read someone on here stating that they were remaking it, if true, we can hope that it will fit better with our kits than the current one does.

And shouldn't they out of marketing sense, realize that with their long sponsorship deal with us, a switch from red might be beneficial...

The size of the logo on the front of our shirts fit in with regulation with the premierleague rules. Whith what they pay us im not that bothered that they want to fully use the area avalable.

As for changing their colour, cant see it. We rebranded not so long ago, but yet we still have a blue and white cockrel.

And who will benefit from changing from red? I cant see Mansion will.... and as they are paying for the privilege to put their logo on the front of our shirts i dont think they will care if we like red or not.

Hmmm. You could probably take a photo down to one of the shirtmakers in Jermyn Street and have a couple of made-to-measure replicas knocked up in Sea Island cotton for the same price as one piece of tat from the club.

I'm not a fan of collars. Collars make shirts look less like sports wear. Footy shirts should be purpose built to allow the players maximum comfort during a game, therefore should be minimalist and lightweight.

Interesting how split the opinions are on this though. I wonder if there's a trend, like the older supporters prefer collars and the younger supporters dont............or something.

Cantona was very grateful for a collar when he was with United. He could turn it up to hide the dirty neck he'd got from carrying Cole all season.

Well, it might actually be beneficial for them to change the colour, how long is their deal with us? another 8 or 9 years? was it not a ten year deal?

And considering how many of our fans dislike the red, how many have decided not to buy it? different colour might give several thousands more buyers, and people more likely to wear them in public.. thereby giving mansion several thousand additional people doing advertisement for their brand!

Does that not make economical sense? ... it all comes down to how many more people actually buying and wearing the shirt in public and at games thou..

We are not the only place Masion will be advertising at....

And if some of our fans dont buy the shirt because there is red on it, i cant see that effecting Mansion alot. They have huge publisity from us already.

The re-design of their logo (if there is one) will not be drastic. And i cant see them changing from the colours they use now, nor from the M they use in the Old English font. Its their iconic stature.

Just like us with the cockrel and blue and white. I cant see us changing to a gree top with a diffrent animal on the dagde...because you wont conect what we where and what we become.

Complete re-design usaly only happens when the companie want to go in a new direction and im quessing Mansion dont need to just now.

also, it's worth remembering that they are paying us way, way, WAY over the odds for having that logo there - if my memory serves, it's such a sweet deal the guy who drew it up and agreed it had his arse kicked by Mansion, didn't he?

Yes. It wouldn't surprise me if he had his Apprentice Moment in the boardroom afterwards.

Word on the street is it will be similar to Switzerlands new puma kit. It is with sad honour, that I have re-created it for you.
