This guy looks like a very average player linked to some very average clubs like Bournemouth and Leeds. It doesn't feel like we're in for him

Bentancur was close to Villa to be fair, McKennie has joined Leeds

Zaniolo accepted going to Bournemouth last night, only for Bournemouth to pull out of the deal this morning because the are signing someone else....

So Bournmouth are out, AC are out, Leeds only want a loan option and we aren't seemingly interested anymore. I bet Roma are looking for what Bournemouth originally offered as well. Don't see him leaving now as i don't see Roma changing their demands

I'm going to be pretty disappointed if we don't have another go at getting this lad, it all seems perfectly placed for a move.
Both Roma and the player are getting desperate so even a slightly tempting offer may bring a result.

If our previous offer is still on the table, I wonder if Roma or his agent may well be on the phone shortly?

I simply don't believe there isn't a universe where we are still trying to get this deal done, even if Paratici is now anathema in Italy that would mean Levy would be the one acting here, and this is a completely tailor made situation for him, the kind he loves to be all over. I find it very strange that we are not getting more noises that Spurs are trying again with Zaniolo

This is a weird take. We are constantly told that we should be getting players before they go to the "average" clubs instead of waiting for them to be a success and then being priced out.

If we can't get a CB in then I really hope we bite the bullet and get Zaniolo. We will never have a better chance at getting him at a favorable price.

Tbh i just don't quite get our interest in him. In that, we follow him for two windows intently then just completely drop interest after getting a random opportunistic loan for a player that plays on the opposite side. It's just odd to me really, we seemed completely fine for him to go to Bournemouth and it really seems we have no interest in rekindling our interest even tho the situation for him is untenable. I mean if Bournemouth can afford him surely we can. Theres also talk that Harrison won't be going to Leicester so that would be Leeds out of the race as well and they only wanted a loan with option anyway. I don't know, it's just odd.

I don't see us getting a CB, not enough time and clubs can't bring in replacements.

This is a deal we could do if we wanted to. Conte wants the player, Lucas could go the other way or be released. Just don't think the board will be willing to unfortunately.

This, although we seem skint. P OKeefe saying our budget was 30 mill and only doing loans. It is a strange situation.
