I know nothing about the player but his mum's fit, so I'm in.
Google's 'Zaniolo Mother '....
I know nothing about the player but his mum's fit, so I'm in.
Couldn't fault his work ethic but you could fault his ability to pass/shoot accurately, take a decent first touch etc. Frustrating, but still love the guy. My comment however was purely about the way he holds himself in his movement. Why are people bringing Lamela up as a negative point?
Lamela was a bloody good player to have around and when he was fit had some superb performances, scoring important goals.
Valuable player
It was 2 goals and 5 assists in the league, with 8 goals 9 assists in all competitions.I don't think it should be understated how risky it is to sign a player not only with just 2 goals and 1 assist in the league last season, but an ACL injury in both knees. The difference in risk between him and Maddison is insane relative to their probable price tags.
and the Dof we have, personally it's nice to feel like the window has been thought out,Yes but it’s not really constructive to just respond with ‘well conte wants him’. Most in here can’t actually give a reason why Zaniolo as a player/profile would be a good addition for us in response to people explaining why they don’t want him. I know (and rightly) so love Conte but I don’t see why posters can’t evaluate players objectively instead of hiding behind the fact that the manager wants him.

Thats loans between English clubsCan have as many players as we like on loan from clubs outside England
Under the rules in the Premier League Handbook 2021/22, there are restrictions on how many players Premier League clubs can loan from other Premier League/English clubs.
They are:
- Premier League clubs may not register more than two players on loan at any one time.
- The maximum number of loans registrable in the same season is four, and, under no circumstances, shall more than one be from the same club at any one time.
- Premier League clubs cannot loan to another Premier League club a player they have acquired in the same transfer window.
- A Premier League club may loan not more than one of its goalkeepers to another Premier League club.
With the exception of Welsh clubs competing in the competitions listed under Rule V.6.2, loans from a club in membership of another National Association do not count towards the above quotas.
Yeah sorry that was my bad joke...not a digYou're looking at it wrong ... standard team layout used on here is:
GK
RCB CCB LCB
RWB CM CM LWB
RWF CF LWF
I just omitted the non-relevant positions.
EDIT: And, it turns out, totally fucked up the LWF and RWF labels
The lad could rabona with the best of them though! ?Couldn't fault his work ethic but you could fault his ability to pass/shoot accurately, take a decent first touch etc. Frustrating, but still love the guy. My comment however was purely about the way he holds himself in his movement.
A quick look at their stats at Roma show Lamela scored 13 in 67 while Zaniolo has 33 in 111.Except lamela bang in goals galore…. This kid has terrible out put
I have to say that a lot of the negative posters on this lad, feel to have a bit of form for hyperbolic, sweeping generalisations too.I would hazard a guess that 99% of the people slating him have never watched him outside of a youtube compilation/couple of games. Ive not watched him personally so if we do sign him I will wait to form an opinion. Kulusevski made me look silly and Id rather not judge so quickly again lol.
Difference being Lamela was a winger and Zaniolo is best as a CAMA quick look at their stats at Roma show Lamela scored 13 in 67 while Zaniolo has 33 in 111.
Totally different players obviously but I was just thinking about how he would adapt to the faster pace of the Premier League which Lamela struggled with for his first few seasons until he figured out how to make an impact in games.
i have highlighted the bit at the bottom that is relevant to us, this is from the FA Premier league websitew regarding loans. The qouta only applies to players from english clubs and there is no quota from other clubsThats loans between English clubs
"Provided the regulations are given final approval by the FIFA Council, between July 1, 2022 and June 30, 2023 clubs will be limited to a maximum of eight international loan signings in and eight loaned out, dropping to seven in 2023-24 and remaining at six from 2024-25"
Hey mate, very good Q/point. I think you could say he has the ability and potential to deliver on big occasions and it’s true that without him they probably wouldn’t have won the Conference League.Question to the people who watch Serie A and have some knowledge of his Conference League games (@Ghost Hardware @fishhhandaricecake ) - Considering he scored a hattrick in the QF and the winning goal in the finals, would you consider him a clutch/delivers-on-the-big-occasions kinda player?
Just guessing here but perhaps Conte likes his ability to deliver when it really matters?

i cant find anywhere that says it was approved, everything i can find is from jan say if its approved.Fifa changed the rule apparently
Transfer news: FIFA announces radical new loan plans that will limit clubs to six loan exits per season
FIFAs new loan rules to be given final approval at next council meeting; FIFA wants to implement rules to prevent stockpiling of players; Clubs will be limited to six players loaned out starting from 2024/25 season; club-trained players or players aged 21 or younger exempt from ruleswww.skysports.com
Far too sensible for this thread -and for the site in general, actually.I have to say that a lot of the negative posters on this lad, feel to have a bit of form for hyperbolic, sweeping generalisations too.
The whole "he's shite" is tiresome but not really unexpected.
If we do sign him, I'll just wait and see what Conte can do with him and make my judgements from there.
Personally, I haven't seen nearly enough of him to form a valid opinion. I know he used to be highly rated, especially on here so I find it rather odd that he's suddenly turned into a head-down, dribble into a blind alley type shitter.
Basically, there are some members here whose opinions on players I trust because their posts are thoughtful, balanced and they have a history of being correct.
Then there are others... well, not so much.
