Why though? As far as I’m concerned Maddison is not only a much better player but a far better fit. He’s a better ball striker than Zaniolo, has a much more decisive final ball and offers us quality than we lack at set pieces. Simply put he’s much more of a passer than Zaniolo who is more physical and a straight line runner. Maddison raises the technical level of the side which is necessary if we want to go to the next level as a side. Zaniolo does not do this and will end up being a cover for Kulusevski without the Swede’s 1v1 ability.
Id prefer Maddison but ITK have said hes not available or at least not yet

Was it Jose who wanted to sign him for us earlier and who now doesn’t want him at Roma?

An honest question. I don’t have much of an opinion and trust Conte and Paratici on this one.

Another question is if they can convince him as he seems to be wanting Juve?
Im sure i saw something about Roma wanting to give him a new contract but Zaniolo not wanting reduced terms and thereby Roma offering him out to other clubs.
in turn this pissed him off and now doesnt want to discuss a new deal.
Not sure where i read that or even how accurate it would be

Sorry but isn't that like saying I'd rather scoop my eye out with a spoon than a fork?

Haha, I love that!

I get what you're seeing and do agree. I just think that , as someone else on here (who I am sure is far more knowledgeable on this than me), if someone suffers a recurrence of the same ACL injury it might suggest something more sinister. Whereas if you injure both ACL's it's either really bad luck or is the outcome of something in your style of movement, which can potentially be adapted.

But at the end of the day, I have no medical knowledge whatsoever and know fuck all about it!?

Trying to find the original article, but Gary Jacobs, who broke the Bissouma story is saying Paratici wants Zaniolo. So looks like it's about to hit the media

Thing that worries me about this, is that its not often that Italians do well in the prem. I know there is a few exceptions to the rule but I'd be wary of this one.

I think that's because they hardly ever come over here, incredibly small sample size to choose from.

I’m not 100% in the “whatever Conte wants is the best choice”, although there is something in that. However, Conte/Paratici 100% know what is the best fit for the team. What do we know about the tactics and plans of Conte? They may view Maddison as better at certain individual things, but that Zaniolo fits what they want more. Is Maddison better centrally as an AM? Does Conte want that? Does he want to have to switch to 532 more often? I don’t know. None of us do.

That’s not to say that we won’t end up going for Maddison, nor that Conte wouldn’t be happy with him.

After careful consideration, I have decided I would quite like this one to happen. I understand the people preferring Madison but I think the fact I fully believe he has a really smackable face could well detract from my enjoyment of good things he may he do. Imagine the elation of watching him score a worldie only to see him run toward you celebrating and the joy is swiftly replaced by the desire to give him a cheeky little tap across his cocky looking chops

Even if Lucas were to go i just don't see us getting Zaniolo and ether Paqueta or Maddison. At the most id see us bringing in a young winger maybe. But both Zaniolo and Maddison wont be happening, i just don't see how you'd give them enough game time to be worth it.

bring back ossie! He’d have no problem playing them all ???
