I wonder if the Bryan gil being allowed to leave has any connection to this deal. Matteo Moretto reporting the Gil news.

Danjuma's 'expected arrival would end Tottenham’s interest in Nicolo Zaniolo, the 23-year-old Italy forward who wants to leave Roma but could now join AC Milan.'

Makes sense. I still think we should back Conte but if the guy is a mummy’s boy and doesn’t want to leave Italy then what can you do. If Antonio is happy with danjuma as an alternative attacker then fair enough.

for us as fans too
More whinging. If there is no point, why not just quit and find something else? People said similar, when we lost bale, modric, Carrick, berbatov. Things were worse, even then.

There is no point, because we may not get a midfielder. Whom may prefer to stay in Italy.

We are barely halfway through the season.

Bunch of drama queens in here at times.

Could be.
Conte still might not be sold on Gil so another loan would be a good move.

But I wouldn't be surprised if Zaniolo was an option if we didn't have to pay Porto's release clause.

Now it looks like we will have to the fins are going there (in an IMO more needed position) and we get the other guy on loan

Richarlison can cover Kane and out wide with the other guy covering out wide as well.

If it seems that Milan don’t want an obligation either than maybe there is more of a chance that Roma will accept our proposal…

We seem to waste our time on these players and I’m sure these businesspeople can work on more than one deal at a time, but it must divert the mind somewhat as you are borrowing millions out of one pot for another etc and you need all the domino’s to fall correctly. We did it with Bastoni, done it here and there are probably countless others too.

Any news yet if the Danjuma and Zaniolo deals are tied? Is it one or the other? Was hoping we could get both, attacking options off the bench are limited as it is, imagine if Kulu and Kane/Son get injured. We are screwed

This seems entirely plausible imo! However it’s not like either signing is breaking the bank. They are both reasonably priced players it seems mental we need to compromise.

Mummy's boy doesn't want to leave Italy? I seriously doubt that's the case.

So we’ve chased this lad in the summer and most of January and only just realised he doesn’t want to leave Italy. We are either massively incompetent or spinning bull.

Given that we can add a maximum of three players to the CL squad, leaving us one left, and the news that Skriniar could be sold as he has refused to sign a new contract, is it possible that we are exploring the chances of landing Skriniar before committing to Zaniolo? I would have thought that a new CB of Skriniar's calibre would be a higher priority . The problem is that PSG seem to be interested.

putting 2+2 together plus Trix comment in ITK, it seems we are struggling with the squad #s for champs lge still.

this drives me absolutely bonkers. Just don’t register someone. It’s probably 2-4 more games max. Pick non-HG player #18 and don’t register them. Surely we aren’t being held hostage to that.

if we get a Cb, don’t register Sanchez If we get Zaniolo, don’t register Gil.
If we get Porro, don’t register one of Emerson or Doherty.
danjuma takes Lucas’s spot.

could also decide not to register Sarr if we needed more wiggle room. it’s just not that difficult.
Put yourself in the players position. We really want you. But not enough to play you in the champions league.
