Gotta feel a bit sorry for the lad, after missing so much of his early career due to his ACL's, another six months sat around doing nothing is not going to help his development.

On a 6-18 month deal it wouldnt hurt. Never been completely convinced by him but, having a more creative central option wouldnt go amiss.. If only we had the Ndombele or Lo Celso we thought we were buying
6 months maybe, though still not convinced. 18 months is just yet another player taking up wages and a squad spot who is not good enough.

Yes, the move collapsed late on deadline day. He's apparently been offered to a number of PL clubs - Everton have shown some interest.
Shame tbh, Union actually have a pretty good shot at the league, would have been quite the story if he had gone there. Any idea why it feel through?

It hasn't really been explained. Union posted this:

"We would have liked to see Isco with us, but we have our limits. Those limits were overstepped today, contradicting the earlier agreement. In the end, the Isco deal will not come to pass."

I reckon they will reintegrate him with the team after a bit of time to cool down.

I do agree about feeling sorry for him though. You'd have thought he would have had some conversations with Conte and felt that Spurs were going to buy him, but ultimately we didn't pay the money that Roma wanted so we kind of screwed his big move. I suppose that's the nature of transfer negotiations (especially with Spurs).

Sounds like Isco or his agent last minute started asking for more money.

How is this allowed!? Has the Turkish window not shut yet?
yeah it’s still open. For what it’s worth apparently he’s happy to go but only if there’s a reasonable release fee and currently the one being offered is too high apparently. Roma are still demanding he goes on a permanent not a loan.

Makes sense as I'm sure he is happy to go there, but doesn't want to stay there long.

He just wants to make sure he can get his move to AC Milan (or someone) when he can.

Yeah it does, not sure the Turkish clubs can afford the fee Roma are demand tho. The only way AC get him is if it was on a free or for next to nothing. Especially if they don’t get CL. Maybe if/when Leao leaves. But if Zaniolo wants to go there then he needs to ride out his contract which is a long time without football.
