No Kaboul, Walker, Lennon and perhaps Parker for Euros

Very sad for them, Kaboul, Walker and Parker would probably have started. One might say it's good for us, but the Euros being in June, I'm not sure that the fatigue would have been a problem for next year.

Walker and Kaboul will be first choice for their countries for years to come, and seeing as neither England nor France will probably return draped with glory, they are probably better off enjoying nice vacations with their WAGs.

England squad is dire and horribly without ambition. They have the pace of a drugged brontosaurus.

Playing in a big international tournament would've been great experience for Walker, Kaboul and Parker. Lennon's been there and done it twice!

Btw why do you have a picture of Rafa and his family as your avatar?

I agree, would rather that Walker and Kaboul had the experience (except that would have put them in the "shop window").

For the avi, well, seems like a nice happy family :) (actually, I googled "syvie van der vaart spurs" hoping to find a picture of her in a spurs shirt, but no luck)

I actually think France will go far. My call as the dark horses of the tournament.

Well you are more optimistic than most of us in France.. But who knows, in knock out tournaments anything is possible - except of course Chelsea winning the Champions League ! God willing.

I never understand why certain players are looked at as being in the shop window? I mean smaller leagues and countries where there is less exposure the players will be in the shop window but for players in a top 4 premiership team i think they are already well and truly in the shop window. I think i am more happy that they wont get injured and screw up our pre season and next season, Maybe this is Roys plan to get his own back on Liverpool, pick all their players so they are screwed next season.

Bollocks! This has probably been posted already but it's just occured to me that we could lose them for the Olympics instead, which would impact on our pre-season even more.

Exactly. Olympics.
We could lose any of Walker, Caulker, Bale, Rose, Townsend, Livermore, Sandro. Lennon probably wont be used as an over 23. Naighton perhaps. Any more?

Anyway, Walker, Caulker & Sandro are probably certs to go.

This is kind of back up to why I haven't criticised the players in the post-season and instead the manager.

In a modern era where the players only care about themselves, these 3 have played through injury for club ahead of country and all played a great role in getting us into 4th.

So proud of them, Kyle Walker could have easily sat out the last few games and nobody would have thought any less of him, however he knew we had no back up RB (well done Harry) and played with a broken toe. Kaboul as well has apprently had this injury for a few years and again played through the pain.

Credit to THFC these guys

Completely agree to that. Both Walker and Kaboul seem to be really stand-up guys. Walker says he agrees to not be included in the Euro squad, in view of his injury, and hopes the best for them. Kaboul said that after seeing Muamba collapse, he sees that anything else must be taken in perspective (vis a vis that he will not be able to play in the euros)

Yeah exactly....I have to question someone like Aaron Lennon who I don't think is made of the same stuff as these guys

You can add Sandro to that list too. I loved that in his interview after the Blackburn match he said of throwing up (not for the first time on the pitch with us incidentally):

""I was ill in the first half but I knew I just had to play on. It is difficult getting a place in midfield."

Sandro has a friendly for Brazil I believe?

Also the Olympics aren't a worry, Team GB (Gareth Bale) aren't going far, Brazil will win which will mean Sandro will be missing but we'll have Hudd and Parker anyway.
