He's saying what he has to say, doesn't mean he's being truthful.
Agreed, however, one of our targets, Malcom, is going to Barcelona for a mere 36M. Surely that's a figure we can afford, considering we paid 30M for Sissoko. He shouldn’t be too concerned, we had 12 players at the WC, most of them played in the semi’s.
We are in a superb position that are players are either at the top of their game, or able to improve.
I love u Poch...oh did I type that out loud!!

I think too many fans have picked up on this brave statement and ran with it did anyone in their right mind think that levy and co would change their MO just because the club is moving to a new stadium it was never going to happen. There is no panic, just a slightly depressing realisation of what Brave means in the corridors of the Spurs lodge.

Exactly and also the World Cup kinda messed things up anyway in regards to transfers.
Many top teams have completed some very good business, even with the World Cup.
I say it every summer, just cannot believe that we’re in this situation again. We need to improve this squad
To me it pointed to the usual business activity as i could not envisage a sea change although I get the frustration as we all want the club to compete at the top as they have been.Maybe, but it was certainly a pointed statement from Pochettino about something. Perhaps it was as simple be brave enough to increase my salary.
I personally didn’t think the MO was going to change to the point that star names were going to be flooding through the door. In fact I wouldn’t want that. But I did expect the chairman to act earlier and not repeat the process of making us hamstrung in the first few weeks of the season yet again.
The World Cup has obviously harmed us for sure but that tour of the states is now basically a talent search within our own ranks and any business done from here on in is weeks behind integration for the start of the season.
It’s a shame.
