Its really starting to get on my tits. There has been a massive media blitz on our club, loads of people trying to keep us down. Columnists making stories full of bull crap, people blaming this man or this man, saying we are going to get in a new manager/DoF/tea lady, or be bought out by unnamed consortiums. In efect, they have been playing with our club to fill their column inches.

Then we have the ex-managers and ex-players, chucking their ten cents in, blaming systems, or transfer policies, even Ginola came out and said we shouldnt have sold Berbatov, told him he was staying and that was that (Thanks Dave, if only we had thought of that).

The one thing that is clear is that no one really knows what is going on, except those at the top of our club. I'm sure the press would like to know the details of every decision to make, but that wouldnt stop them making up stories.

Its inconvenient for us fans as we never get the true story, and the media are so busy blowing their own trumpets that we never realise they know as much, if not less, than us. But until someone comes out with hard evidence, rather than conjecture, agendas and heresay, I'll be keeping faith with the people we have at the club, and judge them on what I can see - performance on and off the pitch.

United we stand, divided we fall. Let us fans keep together, ignore the doomsayers, get behind the team, manager, chairman and everyone else at the club and push us on to glory. COYS!!!!!

well said krafty - have some rep

I long ago became utterly disillusioned & disgusted with the meeja

I've never liked Kinnear since his wimbledon days and what he said about ginola, but I back him 100% in his anti-media rant - they lie, distort and put the knife in on spurs on a daily baisis

I can't stand them

even someone like Jeff Stelling, who i've always liked and seemed fair to me was talking about closing our ground down and deducting points - for something our fans did at an away ground - absolutely disgraceful - even Charlie Nicholas and Phil Thomson had the grace to be embarrassed by his anti-Spurs rant

I couldn't agree with your final sentiments more and have myself posted several times how we need to get behind the team and manager and SUPPORT them. We need to be vocal throughout the matches and show them they have our support and that we believe in them to do the job.

The problem is that footie fans, in the most part, are a very fickle bunch. When the going is good they will sing their hearts out and support the club. When the going is bad then the boo boys take over demanding someones scalp for this loss and that loss. To hear the constant booing surely does not instill much confidence in the players.

Show them some support and give them a damn good reason to play for us.

You're right. We could sit around here all day talking, passing resolutions, making clever speeches...

Shooting the messenger I am afraid. You can't blame the media for the mess we are in. The press are in a feeding frenzy because they can scent the blood in the water. And after the Jol saga you cannot blame anyone for putting more creedence in rumours than official club statements.

But agree anyone who does not get behind the team on matchdays is an arsehole.
