Man I'd love us to bring him back, but a bit of a kicker to have lost him and then have to shell out a hefty fee.

Sunk cost fallacy though innit, if he improves us and comes at a fair price then it will be worth it. Doesn't matter what's gone before. Would be a great signing

I struggle to see this happening unless we have some sell on clause / buy back (which I'm pretty certain we don't) as they're wanting a lot of money for him.

That was going to be my question (of whether we had any kind of kickback on him). That’s a shame

Would be shocked if they didnt have a clause, much like the one Marcus Edwards has.

May look to include Bergwijn in a deal.

Think it's different because Madueke, as far as I understand, didn't sign a pro contract and left on a free to PSV. Where as Edwards, was sold.

Also, I thought Bergwijn could potentially be offered in a deal, but we probably doubled the wages he was on at PSV so I doubt they'd be able to / want to bring him back.

If we can, we should look to get him back. He's clearly talented and proving himself. He name checks Denzil and Stevie as the people who took him under his wing when he signed at PSV. Only 19 and homegrown.

Would love either Madueke or Damsgaard, can't see it at all though unless we ship several players out first.

I don't know if this is likely but I get the impression Paratici isn't one to avoid bringing a player back to a club if they suit his plan, he'll treat them like any other option. I'm pretty sure it's more common in Italy whereas over here it's a bit like an admission of failure so nobody likes doing it, too much chest beating and worrying about saving face.
I'm not advocating one way or the other in this case mind you, I genuinely have no opinion on him.

im assuming Madueke will be classed as home grown as well in the sense of Tottenham trained?

I’m not sure he would count as HG. Don’t you have to spend three years at a club from 18-21 to get that status?
