What changes of formation/personnel would you like to see Juande try out for next year?

I'd be interested in seeing us develop a sound 4-3-3 and give Taraabt some more time on the pitch

i think he should give bent a run in the side now and maybe give taino a run with jenas in the middle but i think he has a fair idea who he wants next season to be in the team

A crazy 2-0-9 with no keeper, Lennon and Taarabt in defence, and all our defenders up front.

0-0-10. Against Newcastle. We'll still beat them, the daft sentimental twats.

I wouldn't say this has been a particularly successful season to be honest. If at the start of the season I was offered a bottom half finish, being knocked out the UEFA Cup a round earlier than last year - but winning the Carling Cup - I wouldn't have taken it.

Agreed but I think he was saying that for Ramos it probably is, given where we were when he took over....

I'd like to see us surpass our previous lowest points tally of 44 before experimenting.

Anything less and it'll be our most unsuccessful Premiership season yet, not including our cup win.

If I was offered that with the 5-1 and 2-1 wins against Scum A and Scum B I would have gone for it. As long as a bottom half finish is only just below half way !

I'd like to see Juande trying things similar to how he did against Man City. He changed personnel, formation and tactics at half time and waited to see what reaction he got from the players. It didn't work out, but I am sure it will give him a better idea of which players have the footballing brains to adapt to a new formation and style of play. It was fairly evident that some of them just gave up the ghost at one point and were very disappointing.

We need to be able to be flexible and I think it was pre-planned from Ramos to shake it up at half time when we were comfortable. All the players are on trial now, so they have to work hard in training and even harder in the matches to make whatever Juande is trying to do, work.

Would like to see Pekhart and Taarabt featured as our attacking duo, and Kaboul tried out as in the Viagra sort of role.

I think Sven quite successfully showed us that making wholesale changes to a system doesn't tend to work when he was England manager. Granted he would tend to make them at half time in a match rather than for a number of games in a row, but I think there is a lot to be said for consistency. I think it would be a lot better to add one or two players, like Rose or Taarabt, into the current formation and see how they do with first teamers around them.

I like watching a 3-5-2 but there's no point as the Prem is just too quick for it.

I reckon Ramos is still not conviced that the squad have fully adapted to his philosophy so I think he'll stick with variations on a 4-4-2. I do think we haven't seen his last squad shuffle. he's got a few people to have a good look at before he goes shopping and Taarabt, Rose and maybe Peckhart could get a look in as well as KPB who could do with some more responsibility. They won't be wholesale changes to the team but the bech should start to look younger as each week passes.

I think we should try yellow shorts with the home shirts. We beat Chelsea with that combo in '82 and have used it rarely since.

I think we should war last year's European top (Chocolate) with the yellow shirts and blue socks.

To be honest, we'll probably never get a better chance to have a free test run of some of the young hopefuls. Taarabt should definately get a run out next to Berbatov and it would be nice to see Peckart, Olsen, Rose, Dixon, Birchichie etc get some sort of first team experience, even if it's on the bench.

Dixon's left the club because of his dislocated knee. We had a few threads on it here.

Olsen's also had injury problems since coming over, and hasn't shown too much for the academy.

Pekhart probably isn't ready yet, hasn't impressed for the reserves but has been slammin' 'em in for the academy.

Berchiche I don't know anything about.

Rose and Taarabt should definitely make a couple of benches.

Bent should get a run of games to see how he plays with the team. I would not blood too many youngsters a from what I have seen they are not ready. Taarabt could be used as a sub as a number 10, but he still holds on to the ball way to much

Bent is still too anonymous for a 1st team start (my individual view). I hope that I am 'far off the mark' but he is not in the same class as Berby and Keano. COYS
